There discount and coupon strategy was to build market share, but quickly diminished once the discounts left along with sales and course the arrival of Temu which has satisfied a lot of peoples desire to purchase more landfill.
If I wanted to buy more landfill why would I do so from a NZ retailer who got the item from China anyways for a 50% markup and $8 shipping.
You're absolutely right but you're being a bit generous with the New Zealand prices. I brought a shell cover for my MacBook quarter price. iPhone, Samsung S 23 covers quarter of the price and very good quality as well stainless steel turnbuckles dewalt battery adapters etc all considerably cheaper than a New Zealand retailer and of course free delivery within 7 to 10 days. I draw the line at anything that plugs in to the mains.
@pdevonporf: now we need to find someways to bring down takeaways and restaurants prices. $22 for a basic burger is just plain ridiculous. Subway foot long used to be $11
Yeah mixed views on this I see. Thou The Market had some really great bargain pricing ,discount code offers, and free pickup & shipping deal, etc, over the years. My little beauty buy was in their run out of the ToolTorq brand about a year ago, when I picked up a 1000w petrol generator for just $150 bucks, if I recall that right. (down from $375 full pice approx). :)
I feel like that that is a lot more exclusions than usual?
(On an associated news item, The Warehouse Group just announced its full year Financial results. Including that it will sell or close its stand alone "The Market" operation, claiming it is not performing well…. :( . not good news for us Cheapies…..).
