Same switch is $158 at PB Tech, seems pretty good

      Slightly OT but that smallnetbuilder review is near worthless.

      While not stated on the page, looking at the source indicates the review was published in July 2014, nearly 10 years ago. There is no mention of the Omada SDN for the SG2008 while the SG108E no longer uses a Windows application for config.

      The biggest clue was when the reviewer proudly states "I was able to install the utility on both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 PCs".

      Look for reviews of later versions of these switches if interested.

        Also TP-Link releases lots of revisions of their hardware sometimes with completely different chipsets and firmware.

    On related note of network switch I recently bought this 8-Port Multi-Gigabit 2.5Gbps Ethernet Network Unmanaged 2.5G Switch for NZ$80~ after seeing lots of good reviews and a friend has been using it for few months. Also talked quite a bit on Ozbargain

    Again totally different use case as this is Unmanaged but you do get poe version if you want. Just thought might be good for someone here.

    not a smart switch like this one but it does the job, I bought one in store so $0 shipping.
