Just did a price comparison with my last bill from Contact

    33 days, 708 kwh
    Contact: $155.7 total
    Flick: $204 estimate.

Can stay for a month or two and move on.

    • What region and plan are you on for Contact. My Flick plan was considerably cheaper when i moved…

      • +1

        Good night plan(9-12free), West Auckland.
To be clear, I have EV and charge free between that time. Out of 708kwh above, 350 are free units

    • Same here. $40 more a month with Flick.

.2c higher on the kwh charge. $.60 a day higher on the daily charge on the all day plan. (CHCH, Meridian)

I'd check you can actually move back onto your current plan before changing to save $100 (in my case)

    • Also more expensive for me vs. Contact

  • is there no contract for this?

    • Yep no contract

    • Maybe get a new connection in any other family member's name

  • Bugger already with flick

    • Sign up under someone else/partner’s name

You can do that even though it’s the same ICP and address?

        • How would they know? It’s no different to a new tenant to rental property. One move out another move in hahah

          • @nzninja97: I see where you’re coming from but if tenant 1 had moved out, it would be more likely that they would have disconnected/cancelled/ moved their connection and new tenant 2 would apply for a reconnection no?

    • Same here. Does anyone know what the rules are for what constitutes a ‘new’ customer? I can’t find a time frame in the terms and conditions. Considering leaving and coming back in a month.

      • Keen to know too. I'm with flick

        • They mention this in the T's & C's:
If we reasonably believe that you are misusing the use of the promo codes and/or Power Credits and/or claiming multiple Power Credits or are otherwise in breach of our T&Cs, we can choose not to give you the Power Credits.

So the credits are probably manually applied, so if it looks like you're switching just for the credit they might not give it?

  • flick looks cheaper for me , low user with contact in Kapiti

    chur

  • Signed up and entered the code.. While sign up process didn't mention anything about the code [which I added] and nothing in their email.. Hope i get the credit.

Anyone knows if that will be on first bill or second?

    • when the switch completes you will get the credit in your account, and will get an email about it

  • any suggestions on who to go to for Gas if you're going with Flick for Electricity?

  • Just sent in the application…was with Powershop 740kwh between Mar - Apr…estimate shows nearly $60/month cheaper. My powershop Weekday peak 31.21c/kwh, weekday off peak 19.9c/kwh, all weekend off peak 19.9c/kwh and daily charge of 2.507/day compared with Flick Flat 16.64c/kwh and daily charge 2.7025/day
