I'd keep an eye on your order just in case the price increases in a week or so - element14 are currently finishing a huge Sydney warehouse clearance sale, which has resulted in some great deals (3D printers for $100 rather than $400, lab power supplies for $67 rather than $430 etc), but those prices just apply to the stock in that particular warehouse, and their website is having issues keeping up with purchasers.
As some people have found in the low quantity thread, if the Sydney stock has run out, your order might get mistakenly transferred to global stock instead, without the clearance discount. That might not be the case with this price, but doesn't hurt to check.

Do they take the money straightaway for backorders or only when they ship?
It seems to be when they ship - ordered a couple last night and my card hasn’t been charged yet. Also think I recall seeing a message that they charge upon shipping during the checkout process.

I've been reading some reddit forums, some people have had bad experience from this website, up to a year waiting on back order raspberry pi.. might order one anyway considering its crazy cheap and hold out.
ordered and received email to say order is being processed, back order suggested till 08/24 .
tried to order 3d printer last night but fell asleep, checked this morning and item removed from cart :( now sold out
Wouldn't an older Lenovo Tiny or Dell Micro be a better option for not much more? Unless you really need the GPIO pins.
Just got an email saying they won’t honour the prices for back order items as the sale was for the AU warehouse stock only.
Either have to cancel the order or pay the non-sale price.
