    Hey - sorry this may have been asked in previous deals, but why is it so much cheaper to book via your link and then through mytrip/budgetair (rather than directly from the airlines website)?
    And is it actually safe to make bookings through these websites?

      Heh, fair question. The OTAs (online travel agencies) undercut and then try and make their money on upsells.

      I've literally just finished booking a trans-Tasman flight on mytrip, and they tried probably 15 different ways to upsell me from insurance to seat selection to SMS updates. I just ticked no to everything :)

      As I said above, I literally booked with them last night. I've used them before.

      However, most of these OTAs have…less than desirable customer service, in my experience, so if something goes wrong (say you put the wrong spelling of your name down and need to change it, they'll charge you $$) it's a pain.

      And so many attempts at upselling.

      But skip those, and you get a good deal!
