These discount codes that Delivereasy/Uber Eats offer, is it the Retailer or Delivereasy/Uber Eats that takes the loss?. Using these codes I often feel a touch sorry for the small retailer who's already struggling.
Retailers are paid full price. They don't even see the discount applied on their side. But they would still pay the 30% or so of the item price.
So it is good for them in a way. Buying from them directly is the best way but than as a consumer you don't get the best price.
Confirm as I've done pickup instore at some places coz with the ubereats discount it was cheaper than the store price and owners often laughed, not knowing it was possible.
