I have this powerbank for more than a year and it is great, slick and easy to carry. Supports iphone fast charging as well. Size of iphone 13.

The Xiaomi Mi 22.5W 10000mAh Power Bank is a great way to keep all your mobile devices fully charged. It features a Type-C port for fast charging of your high-power electronic devices, including the latest Mi smartphones, Apple iPhones and the Nintendo Switch, making it an effortless solution to your everyday charging needs. The power bank is also able to charge three devices simultaneously with one Type-C port and two USB-A ports. When used alone, the Type-C port is able to power the latest Xiaomi smartphones.

The USB-A ports can charge low-current devices such as Bluetooth earbuds and Mi smart bands as well. Making it an easy option for your low-current charging devices. With 22.5W MAX input capacity, the Type-C port supports two-way fast charging. When used together the power bank can be charged to 100% in around 4.5 hours.

High-precision capacitance and inductance sensors, plus advanced circuit chips mean added safety, with an upgraded conversion rate and discharging voltage stability. This gives you peace of mind for your everyday charging with multiple circuit protections.

15w is combined, not sure what single port max output is.

Edit: It doesn't support pd charging as well, so it will be slow to recharge.

    @ PB Tech 😊

    • That shows, haven't posted in awhile. lol.

  • There have been quite a few power bank posts on OzB of late. Might be worth a read. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/tag/power-bank

Amazon don't ship to NZ and others may not either due to that battery exploding restrictions still in effect

      • They fall under hazardous goods which has always been restrictive. Sending laptops by air has been difficult for more than 10 years as you needed a cert for them on safety.

Typically most batteries go via sea freight. Buying batteries from offshore you will be lucky to do unless the shipper doesnt declare

        • I find that odd.
I've flown two laptops and several battery items back from staff around the world to NZ I'm the last month, all declared above board and had no issues. Carrier was DHL Express, so their own planes not commercial cargo.

  • Does this have passthrough? i.e. can I power something while the battery is itself charging (many don't)?

Also… What does this even mean? "When used alone, the Type-C port is able to power the latest Xiaomi smartphones." - So it's proprietary?

Not really sure on passthrough. But you can charge your device while charging. I guess, it is still using battery I believe.

      • OK cool. I'm keen to use it as a UPS for a Rasperry Pi :)

Normally powerbanks are not meant to be plugged in 24/7. So i would recommend having some sort of smartplug to switch on/off charging maybe charge only for few hours a day.

  • Would this be any good for a Steam Deck?

Not enough wattage you want one that can do at least 45w or 65 ideally.

  • When I bought my Xiaomi 12 Pro a couple of years ago, I was given one of those as a freebie. 50W MAX super flash charging, and it charges my phone in easily 20 minutes. The whole reason I bought that phone was because of its fast charging and I was absolutely impressed. Phone does not heat up, and the most recent software updates slows down the last 5% charge, which doesn't blow up the device.

Husband had a bunch of power banks around, and one day he borrowed mine. All over, he found out how good it was and wouldn't stop using it.

I got 2 more on sale one weekend and now each of the big peeps in the house have their own. You can use it easily 6+ times before charging again. Great on trips, great for a quick extra juice when out and about. My kid used to keep their laptop alive once at school when they forgot to charge it at home and it worked well.
