    Thanks for sharing OP!

If you download their mobile app and register an account, you'll get another $10 credit. Got 3 bags of 2kg Royal Canin puppy food for $36 each (using Autoship option), with the $10 credit automatically applied at checkout and the SCSAVE20 coupon code. Comes out to $77.97 with free shipping. The cheapest price for the same puppy food is ~$40 with Animates and $43.32 with Pet.co.nz using Autoship. So that's pretty good savings!

FYI, you can cancel autoship at anytime. I always choose it to get the cheaper shipping.

Out of curiosity, where do people normally go to buy their dog food from? For dog toys, I typically go to Kmart or sometimes Animates. But for dog food, Pet.co.nz generally is the cheapest. Not sure about the de-worm and de-flea tablets etc though.

Animates seem to price match no questions asked. Even pricematch pet direct even though theyre an online store.

      • Thanks, never tried it. Do they price match on the autoship prices?

        • never tried with auto ship prices

    • For fleat etc, Bravecto is generlaly a good (albiet not cheap) option
Jens pet supplies is a good / cheap option - not to mention its not one of the massive chains

      • Thanks. Never heard of Jen's Pet Supplies before. Seems decently priced, will be using them for the worm/flea treatment next time.

Another unrelated question. I want to take my puppy to puppy preschool training and I found Barkley Manor to be the most expensive one at $300 for 5 sessions, but it seems to be highly rated. I also found Animates and Petstock puppy training, both seem to be priced reasonably at around $200 for 5 sessions. Couldn't really find much difference between the options. I would have thought that Animates would be good enough since they're a chain store. What are your thoughts on this?

        • I’ve never used professional puppy training services before as I’ve always seen it as something I could do myself and save a lot of money.
If you can spend time every day doing little training sessions yourself (YouTube has plenty of guidance) and you also make a point to take your dogs for walks and try and meet other dogs, then I think you’ll be fine without it and still end up great.

I’ve heard good things about Barkley Manor in general including day /overnight kenneling.
Though I’d recommend checking out Pets at Whitord for any day kenneling / boarding services as we use them, and know lots of other people who recommend them.

    • pretty much always get dry food form petsdirect using their autoship prices seems to almost always be the cheapest, and I buy large bags so always free ship. When a coupon like this comes up now and again even better.

Usually get medicine from willowbark, but ill have to check out jens as well.

I dont both with price matching as its more convenient for petsdirect to ship it to me anyway and I'd rather not faf around talking to someone who begrudgingly agrees to price match.

    • Thanks for this, worked for me.
