Stream the Paris 2024 Olympics Live for Free @ 9Now (VPN Connected to Australia Required)

230

You will need to set your VPN location to Australia and register an account on 9Now but after that it is all free.

Each sport/event has its own dedicated streaming channel (linked).

You can find the full schedule here:
https://www.nine.com.au/sport/olympics/schedule

Rugby 7s actually starts Thursday a couple of days before the opening ceremony.

Presumably still need the vpn to watch once registered?

    • +1

Yes the VPN needs to be on to watch the stream.

  • Just paid Sky

  • all teams or just team australia?

There is a stream for each sport/event so it should be pretty much everything. The live channels will probably be a bit more Aus focussed though.

  • Anyone know of a free VPN that offers unlimited data and will last the length of games. Did a google last night and couldn't find any free unlimited VPN's . Thanks for your help.

    • Windscribe has 60Gb but does not do AUS :(

Best option is if there is a large Cashback on NordVPN.

Could go the DNS route and take advantage of a 14-day free trial? Something like Smart DNS Proxy or Getflix perhaps. I used Smart DNS a lot when I had Kayo via Kodi on a media player.

    • You could try protonvpn.

    • It's not free but Vyprvpn works, can confirm.

They do 30-day money back so it can be effectively free if you do that

  • shopback surfshark 100% back till 25 july , iptv app already on most smart tv Aussie Matt Huisman https://www.matthuisman.nz/2017/07/australia-iptv-epg-files.…
im not a expert but made work for me

  • Does the free account have to be created tomorrow for this to work, or tomorrow is just when they start streaming events?

Fired up my old dns4me account and subbed for a month, sideloaded the 9now app to the chromecast, used a vpn to make a login, and can now watch via the 9now app.

    • @cutcutcut: can you please share the link to the 9now APK that you got it from? I have a Chromecast with Google TV HD not the 4K model. Managed to get a super laggy APK from apkmirror which does not even let me go in once loaded up.

I got a free account from Smart DNS using Wakrak's suggestion, and sideloaded the apk to my Nvidia Shield (the cheap tube version). It's been usable, if a little glitchy at times. The picture likes to freeze and the audio repeat 5 second sections of commentary before recommencing from time to time.

I've had the occasional pause, and the ui feels a bit sluggish but I've been pretty impressed with it. Obviously there's a real focus on Australian athletes etc but we've used it heaps so far.

Thank you all for this! I just sign up Smart DNS trial, setup DNS to router, sideload 9now to Chromecast, and now I can watch Olympics on TV!

  • Using SmartDNS (setup to router) + 9now + Chromecast and got Network Error when I tried to stream on TV, any fix? (Was ok last night)
    (Streaming on laptop still working)
