Looking back over the last year or so they seem to happen at about the same time each year (though not necessarily the same deal)
Interestingly at least one BOGOF (Nov I think) that started at an earlier time last year had the same expiry/use by date as the prior years did - something I didn't notice until I had let the deal pass by thinking I would lose a month plus (then later discovered that the my plan from the prior year expired on the same day as the use-by date)
Wasn't the 50% a couple of months ago a better deal? I'm waiting for that, unless someone can say if they're not going to do that ever again

In terms of value, yes 50% off was better but that was only for the Fast Plan at 10Mbps. The other two plans were not discounted.
Their Black Friday deal was even better - any of the 3 plans for $1 per month for 3 months. Who knows whether they will do that again.
Between that sale and contact we've had unlimited date for 9 months for the total of $6. It's been fantastic but contact Sims need to be cancelled this month. Thinking we might move one person to the farm source 2degrees plan and I'll see how my ridiculous prepaid data stack plan goes for a bit before committing to any change.
Hey, do you know how to get the farmers' two-degree plan? Can everyone get that or need any membership or something?
@Antvit26: If you search the site for farm source cards there a good few forum threads and daleala that discuss getting hold of the rewards card to get on to that plan.

Does anyone know if I were to use the fast plan with a modem with sim and use it to hotspot the house, what kind of modem is required?
Spark Smart Modem 2 are network unlocked and very cheap albeit a bit crap.
D-Link and TP-Link both make 4G/5G modems with mesh function etc if you need that.
Netgear LM1200 if you don't want WiFi and want to just plug directly into your existing Access point or router.
Renember you are behind CG-NAT so no port forwarding.
