Was able to use the discount code QV18925 multiple times from this.

    • Yeah, the Ts & Cs says it can be used multiple times.

"The discount code may be used multiple times, within reason, within the promotional period.

    • Same code, doesn't seem like it's re-generated.

Nice - thanks, looking at the one I generated, glad I didnt pay $30 for it. But thanks for posting OP

  • Thanks. I guess I won't sell my house anytime soon.

Does anyone think the reports are useful?

It seems to me the generated report is pretty useless, I don't even know if it's worth the "free" price.

The only unique thing it gives you is a current QV valuation. This is algorithm based like the rating valuation and isn't necessarily accurate, especially at the moment with prices falling in most regions.

All the other information in the QV report is available for free from sites like www.propertyvalue.co.nz and www.homes.co.nz which have their own valuation algorithms. The QV report does tabulate all the information for you in an easy to read list, but I wouldn't pay $30 for that.

      • Definitely not worth $30.00 used to have more info last purchased, used to have modifications, flood reports etc… Quick 5min google can get info free

    • It has been for me twice, last time the house they had was mine from years ago prior to major alterations in 3 areas, I know the history of this house, this time as Im preparing to sell they still had it wrong, felt it worth the effort to have it corrected. They don't seem to care a lot for accuracy but given that trade me, one roof, sum insured which insurance companies use, etc take their information from there. You might find it worthwhile

When I typed in my address. It says An e-report is not available for this property. Anyone know why?

    • +1

Uncommon properties, lifestyle or rural properties , any type of property where there is not lots on similar sales near by

      • Thank you. Definitely not lifestyle or rural but maybe like you said not much sales history around my area.

As a first time buyer are these useful?

  • The house value is available free to view anyway. I don't really think it shows much apart from recent house sales similar to the house you are looking at. But agents will provide those to you if you ask them anyway.

  • Am I weird? I just ask my banker at ANZ for valuations and get them for free (valocity pdf report including recent nearby sales etc). Maybe I'm misunderstanding the value of QVs offering.

    • Westpac, used to do it too for years via their dedicated website, but not any more.

  • Waste of time, value of some of the houses i checked there is no chance you would even get a sniff at those valuations

  • Is anyone having any luck? I can't generate one. We are in the middle of house hunting - so very handy to get these.

    • No "We're unable to generate a report at the moment, please try again later."

      • Its working again now :)

Can't believe people pay $29.99 for that report.

    • I recall they used to be a lot cheaper as well.

  • Errors with "We're unable to generate a report at the moment, please try again later." everytime for me

    • works again now
