Metro is near useless for a non tiny person, it's just too small. People go for it because it folds down, but personally, if I wanted a compact umbrella I'd look elsewhere, because the Blunt canopy design means you get less surface area than normal.

You want Classic or Exec, and if you get the Classic, it's worth ordering the carry sleeve to go with it (Exec ships with it, Classic does not).

        • Not sure what you mean by 'non tiny person', but for me personally as a pretty average sized non-obese male of 180cm tall, it definitely does the job of letting me get from A to B and be pretty dry. Wouldn't stand out in the rain with it but definitely does the job for short transportation

This is what I'm getting at. It's going to be inadequate for most. May as well get a cheapo that can fold down, because it'll do that quick dash job better than the Metro

Just confirming that both the referee and referrer vouchers work on discounted Blunt umbrellas at the moment (supposed to not work on sale items). Just purchased the Safari version.

    • Good pricing. Thanks OP

    • Have placed an order using the referral code and immediately received an email saying that the code isn't valid for that item and to either transfer $35 to the shop or cancel the order.

Must've fixed it. Thanks for the update. Wonder if they'll cancel my order now.

  • Dammit, dude. I could have bought this cheaper 🥲

  • Now their whole rewards system is buggered. Whoopsy.

  • why so expensive umbrella?

    • Because they are sturdy and tough. Admittedly I went from The Warehouse & Mitre 10 cheapies to Blunt, so I have no idea as to the build of in between brands.

I still have my original G2 & a classic bought 6 years ago. The classic is used at work every time is rains (West Coast).

Most (all?) parts are user repairable / replaceable, and during this time I have replaced an end cap and a tip (warranty)

      • I hate consumerism but for me I need a ultralight umbrella for travelling carry on only. Hard to find a decent one
