Our 10 year old Samsung side by side fridge freezer is on its last legs. Paid $115 for a Samsung technician to diagnose as it’s barely 3 months after the 10 year warranty mark and was told there’s a gas leak and repairing this would cost between $800-$1000.
Can anyone recommend a good fridge? Looking at a French door style side by side fridge with an icemaker and water dispenser as I already have a plumbed waterline.

Have you tried disputing the warranty with Samsung? Could be worth a shot, sometimes they have leniency with warranty’s after they’ve expired. Although 10y warranty period is generous.
