This was me the last 5 times this year, and then last time every single one of my auctions sold. Drop the price a bit and you’ll be surprised.

Exactly. These days are geared more towards genuine casual sellers, the people who just want to get rid of the stuff they have lying around the place, not for sellers who use Trade Me as a side hustle to supplement their income. I'm a genuine casual seller and I've had great success with these free selling days. I usually list items that I've bought for myself 2nd hand off Trade Me and don't want anymore, and 90% of the time I'll list them for what I paid + enough to cover any success fees, unless I bought them really cheap then I'll try making a few bucks, but most of the time I'm just happy getting rid of them without losing any money, and my sell through rate for items listed on these free selling days is up near 100%.

    • Also everyone lists their items so the supply is greater than demand.

  • @suspense they’ve never released one after midnight before, so that’s a first!

For hustlers, it's not the time to sell, but a time to buy stock…

    • Definitely a buyers market. Born2Hustle.

  • Thank you!! Have been looking 'n waiting for this post….It wasn't right at the top and for a second I thought "oh not this week" then it was there in second spot! My 85 yr old exMIL has just gone into a care home so there's a bit to sell for her, she needs every penny!

Thank you again for always getting this out early :) I can also bring close of my listings forward a few days and re-list them Sunday…TM only emails the afternoon before to let everyone know.

edit: oops, I forgot to click "not" associated with until I'd posted. TM is (almost) the last thing I'd want to be associated with…use it but despise it!!
