Bosch Professional Wet and Dry Vacuum 18V-10L + 5.0Ah Battery & Fast Charger Kit $207 + Free Delivery @ Bunnings

290

Found this in-store at Bunnings today for $249, then to my surprise down even further at $207 online! Seems like an absolute steal considering the cost of individual pieces:

Skin only this is available at:
NZ Safety Blackwoods for $355.35
Testntools for $399
Sydney Tools for $409.29
Bunnings on Special Order for $429

And the battery alone is close to if not more than this kit at:
Bunnings at $175
NZ Safety Blackwoods for $179
Mitre10 for $229

Finally the charger at:
Bunnings for $165
NZ Safety Blackwoods for $171.35
etc. etc.

All Auckland Stores (except Constellation Drive & Silverdale) seems to have stock, Waikato/BOP has a fair amount, some stock in Wellington, all of Christchurch has stock, even Queenstown and Timaru have them. Maybe someone with the know-how can post the list of stock numbers if that helps people.

No need to do any work on the stock levels. This magnificent website has us covered: https://bunningsnz.youinstock.com.au/search/0694692

  • Would this be suitable for a normal residential home? I guess the dry mode makes it like a normal vacuum….?

    • The extensions fit my Miele head fine, obviously without the secure locking, so in that case I'd say… Maybe?

But I wouldn't want to use it without extra bits made for the home, I had a go on carpet when I got it home and the included head is super basic and not nice to use on fabric surfaces.

Looks to be free shipping too.

    Cheers!

    • Hadn't even noticed, even better! Added to the title.

Order placed. Free delivery from the Bunnings (Tower Junction, Chch) to Upper Riccarton. Can confirm.
According to their email: 2 β€” 5 working days.
      Such a bargain, tbh.πŸ‘πŸ»
      Thanks to 535!🀝🏻

Not sure if it was really in stock or not at the moment their system has accepted this order of mine, hence cannot confirm that it will be delivered at all at this stage. Fingers crossed for its availability… πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ πŸ˜‚

      Cheers! πŸ‘‹πŸ»

  • Looks like you'll have to be lucky to get any online orders filled:

    RE: Order No.[ON]

Hi [NAME], unfortunately we are out of stock for items in your Online Order. We have contacted other stores and they too, are out of stock. We have gone ahead and processed a refund so please allow 2-5 business days for $207.00 to appear in your account. Please, it is important to disregard the automated messages saying your item is ready as your item or items have already been cancelled and refunded. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Rgds [NAME] Bunnings Mt Wellington 095728600. Please do not reply.

My guess is that their price is incorrect and so they have put a block on orders?

Have put an order through with another store to see what happens.

    • That seems like really shit service considering bunnings is centralized,

Even when Mitre10 had that weber sale awhile ago and out of stock everywhere, they went out of their way to get more stock for people at the same price etc etc

      • Yeah I agree - second store order seems to have gone through as well - which winds me up a bit, but ultimately good outcome for me!

      —- Update —-

Second store order C&C seems to have worked - have received confirmation text. Must have just been the person at Mt wellington!

Have put an order through with another store to see what happens.

Just bought one. Great deal, thank-you

Thanks OP, just grabbed one C&C from my local

  • It doesn't say it is Wet & Dry in their website?

    • "Broad variety of applications thanks to its bagless design for wet and dry usages, and to the many accessories"

  • Have a bunch of Ozito PXC stuff which works fine for DIY, considering the wet/dry vacuum skin at $98, but this is a great deal…

If I'm to start a new blue collection, with brushless hammer drill, impact driver and a vacuum I'm looking at $600 with 3 batteries (4,4,5 Ah). PXC would've cost just shy of $500 with two 4 Ah batteries (the $115 pack)

Is PXC getting more expensive, or blue Bosch getting cheaper?

    • +1

      It's the latter.

Ozito has these 4x 4.0ah battery packs around $169 so their batteries are cheaper.

Bosch Pro batteries have 6 years warranty on them however.

It's when you get to other tools that stuff get expensive fast with blue team.

  • Thanks OP, just ordered one with C&C from Bunnings Riccarton. There should be four items in stock (fingers crossed).

  • What's this good for?

      It sucks

    • Cleaning up wet spills that you can’t use a standard vacuuum cleaner for. Also good for fine dust (like plaster) which can damage the motor on your household vacuum.

      • Can you clean carpets?

        • It's not a substitute for your everyday vacuum cleaner or carpet shampoo cleaner if that's what you're meaning.
Great for cleaning up a liquid spill or dust as I mentioned above but it serves a different purpose.
In saying that, I can't comment on this particular machine a I haven't used it.

    • i have carpet vacuum for carpets corded , i have dyson v.8 for regular house and other use and i just got this one and i need some thing like this for my cars ( as has very good quality long flexible hose ) and garage where i have my dryer i will use it for lint and keeping it tidy

  • I placed an order with C&C, but it's been 24 hours. I'm guessing it will be canceled but pretty slow service.

  • Lol my order is showing as "Cancelled" yet never heard anything re it.

That is some real shit service bunnings.

    • Went thought without any problems from Christchurch airport free delivery option

  • Now up to $249 on their website so I've expired it, but there's still a handful left at this new price - still not a bad deal.
