Seems like a decent discount on a mini SUV that doesn't look too bad, poor range though.

Been seeing few EV listings so I thought I would add this also.

  • i am seeing so many euro cars going up for sale, this is a damn price, but we all moving into trying to save money, of cause not fueling up as often etc, but when it comes to maintenance, it's going to be a hefty one every time. Parts, labour

Good thing this is an EV then, not much maintenance and parts

      • No joke the reduction in mechanical part numbers is crazy between EV and petrol.

Electrical issues can be a major cost.

Except they virtually never happen on EVs.

@felixfurtak: I actually hear of quite a few. Things like recessed door handles failing to come out. Or infotainment centre problems. Electrical things can be very expensive to get fixed.

            • @nzmax: None of which are relevant to EVs. Petrol cars have those door handles and infotainment centres too.

              • @Redcafej: Door handles were an issue with Tesla model S. I think they still are with older designs. Haven't heard anything else electrical related

              • @Redcafej: Yes if you are going for well known very reliable car brands, but companies like Toyota, Mazda still aren't really into EVs. Currently many EVs are being built by less reliable and also unknown Chinese brands where reliability of electrical parts can be a problem. I have owned several European cars, and the number 1 problem and expense has been electrical problems. Central locking dying, power mirrors failing,. Just to get a few dashboard lights replaced being over 1k. Some aren't made to be taken apart and fixed. Maybe it if fine when they are still in warranty.

    • Looking forward to the depreciation on all these cars in a few years, everyone will be driving high end EVs.

      • Wouldn't mind a Taycan. Good family sedan.

      • Waiting for a sub 20k EV before I buy

The RUC really impacted the EV market, $76 per 1000km same as diesel. If someone drive 10000km per year, that's about 6 full tanks of 50L fuel equals to about 5000km distance covered by petrol car.

The think people still don't look at the whole costs. My EV costs me virtually nothing in servicing. For example, a Model Y service plan after 3 years is just to rotate the tyres, change the HEPA filter and wiper blades. That's it!. Take any petrol or hybrid car for servicing and it's always $500-1000 each year. I charge for 3 hours every night for free (on Contact GoodNights plan) so there is no fuel cost either, so it still works out much cheaper than a petrol car, even with the RUC.

With the way the EV market is going, you have to factor in depreciation too. It's gonna be a bloodbath to try and sell it on the used car market.

        • I doubt decent EVs will depreciate that much after their initial few years. They are insanely reliable with lower service costs that ICE cars. Nissan Lesf is the exception since the battery degradation is significant.

Given this is a Stellantis e-CMP vehicle, people should be comparing it's features to the Peugeot e-2008 and Opel Mokka-e(trademe.co.nz) when cross shopping - if you care about price and features more than just the name brand. Haven't done the analysis myself but thought it's worth calling out

I had a good look at this car yesterday, Here are my thoughts.

    The price is excellent

This is a very small car. Total legnth is 4084mm. To achieve this, they have taken away the back seat foot space. There is next to none in this car. My 12 year old could not fit in whilst I was in the drivers seat. (Im 5:10).

I liked having physical buttons for everything, that was great. And the screens were good, not large, but good.

My major complaints is the lack of storage and hard plastics everywhere. In the front, there is not a lot of storage and the glove compartment is half sized.
In the rear seats, no storage whatsoever. No cup holders, nothing.

There was also the transmission hump in the back footwell, which was disappointing.

Overall an ok car, and very good for the money. Only really a one person/two person city runabout in my view.
