That's the Origin one…. But its good to know the price range! Thanks!
The title says origin but actually it's origin extra.Check the image.
So is this V8 Extra better than the Origin Extra?
I did not realise how many V8 varieties there are… Or perhaps some are actually the same product just with different/incorrect naming here and there. I see there is a V8 Absolute model on Dyson website which has less suction power but is more expensive - possibly due to more accessories? Very confusing…
Yes more accessories, that's it.
Yes. Do you own a Dyson vacuum? Are the batteries really a common problem? Cheers
No. What do you mean common problem?
@ChoiceChips: Battery tends to fail. Usually lasts about 1~1.5 years. Seems to be quite a common complaint.
@Totto: My v6 that i bought in 2017 is still going. Battery was replaced twice, but replaced at no charge somehow eventhough the warranty was out.
@Totto: I believed it was bought at JB Hifi. At the end of year 3 (2020) I gave Dyson a call and thats when they gave me battery at no cost. Then end of 2021 the battery gave up again and replaced at no cost. Still going until now.
@spam: Cheers! Just wondering, did you go to JB Hifi initially but was refused (as warranty expired) hence contacted Dyson?
@Totto: Nah, went direct to Dyson as I was just trying my luck. If I had to pay I would go buy the battery of ali at the time, but surprisingly they didn't charge me and somehow replaced it eventhough it's out of the warranty.
@Totto: I'd say pretty good compared to other brands. But as with anything, YMMV.
Others here have said the same thing but there's also someone who didn't get the battery covered, so..
I think the someone said at the end of year-1/year-2 contact them to say the battery is stuffed so you'll get replacement battery
@spam: Yes I agree regarding YMMV.
Do you mean contact them before the end of the warranty? Do they not actually check and diagnose the battery(problem) prior?
@Totto: From memory, they asked/diagnose on the phone with you, e.g. red light blinking x times and I said its not charging then they arrange battery replacement.
Once I got the battery, you just get the old battery recycled (gave it to Abilities). They don't care about the old battery. Now, this was 2022, so not sure if the procedure have now changed or not
@spam: Cheers for that! I was going to go for this deal today as it was until 11 March, but looks like it has expired early due to popularity unfortunately :(
Really appreciate your replies anyway :)
Is it better/easier to purchase with Dyson directly regarding benefits and after care etc?
Is this the history lowest price?
