  • Is the $30 Cap per transaction or total?

    • +1

It’s usually per transaction but hopefully get a formal answer soon

      • Just making sure

Sorry for the delay here! The $30 cap is per transaction, so you can get Cashback up to the cap on each separate purchase. 😊

  • For Temu do you click on the Shopback link, and then launch the Temu app separately? Or must it be through the browser Temu website?

    • +1

      has to be through website

    • Personally i do it through the shopback app and temu within their in app browser- never had an issue with tracking this way and dont get all those spam notifications that temu and equivalents are known for

    • To make sure your Cashback tracks, you’ll need to click through ShopBack and complete your purchase in the same session. If you have the Temu app installed, it should open automatically after clicking through ShopBack. If it doesn’t, it’s best to complete your order via the Temu website in your browser instead. 😊

  • If we have credit (not a voucher or gift card), can we use that to pay (partially or wholly), and still get the cashback?

    • Good question, keen to know too. Would you get credit for the remainder cash paid portion? @gotyourback

      • +1

Checking with the team and merchant about using credit for cashback. I’ll let you know once I have an update! 😊

        • I’ve checked with the team, and unfortunately, credit (not a voucher or gift card) is not eligible for cashback. Cashback is only awarded for the portion paid using an eligible payment method (e.g., debit/credit card or other accepted payment methods). Hope this helps!

          • +1

@gotyourback: Is the cashback on the partial paid amount still awarded or any orders with credit is just not eligible?

I had a $2 credits on my $56 order. So will I earn cashback on $54 or no cashback at all?

            Okay - thank you.

So far i have seen is you get cashback on the total amount you paid minus GST, tax & gift cards. Cuz voucher or gift card amount gets deducted from your total so it's not reflected as the amount spent I think. Don't take my word for it though.

      • +1

You're right, this is what happened when I used my credit.

        • You're right, this is what happened when I used my credit.

Do you mean you did or did-not get cash back on the portion paid using your credit balance?

    • +2

The amount that you pay cash/credit card is the amount (less GST) that will be used for the cashback amount

So if you buy $120 but have credit and codes that bring it down to $80 then it'll be that $80 amount

      "70% of 43 = 30ish"
So you'll be wanting to spend closer to $50-$55 on each transaction to get the full $30 after GST

      • $49.29 to be exact if no credit is used

      • For clarity's sake:

  • Says its only for new users.

  • @gotyourback Shopback survey link broken. Keeps going back to the beginning of the survey

    • Thanks for letting us know about the issue with the survey link. Could you please reach out to our support team at care@shopback.co.nz? They’ll be able to look into it for you. Appreciate your patience! 😊

  • @gotyourback Hi, the banner Ad clearly says 70% for ALL users, but when you click through to the Temu site it says "Sorry, only new users can get this coupon". Do I ignore this?

    • New users to Temu I assume.

    • +1

Thats the 30% temu new user discount its referring to pretty sure

    • Hey! Yes, I believe you're referring to the 30% off new user discount offered directly by Temu. The 70% cashback offer is through ShopBack, which is separate from any discounts Temu provides on their site. So, if you’re a new user, you can enjoy that 30% off, but the cashback from ShopBack should still apply as long as you follow the correct process. 😊

  • I've never had a temu cashback work. Always have the same message as above "only for new users" even when the cashback is small like 7%. They need to specify new customers of Temu or ShopBack.

    • I totally get the frustration. Just to clarify, the cashback offer through ShopBack applies to both new and existing users of Temu, as long as the cashback is active and you follow the process correctly. The "new users" message you're seeing likely refers to a discount Temu is offering directly on their site, not the cashback.

If you're having trouble, feel free to DM me your details, and I can help look into it further!

  • This work ok using afterpay on temu? Im not letting them have my real card number and my wise wouldn't work when I tried it there last so I just afterpay everything on the site.

    • +2

Yeah, you should be able to use Afterpay on Temu for Cashback to track, as long as the payment method doesn’t interfere with the Cashback process. Just make sure you're clicking through ShopBack before you complete your order. If you have any issues, feel free to reach out! Hope that helps! 🙌

  • @gotyourback Hi, could you please confirm if I can get cashback based on the portion after Temu voucher? For example, if I use $30 off $100 voucher, do I still get cashback on the $70 portion payment? Thanks!

    • +1

If the voucher isn’t advertised on ShopBack, then the purchase won’t be eligible for Cashback. As mentioned in the exclusions, only promo codes or vouchers featured on our platform qualify.

I’d recommend skipping the voucher if you want to ensure you get Cashback! 😊

  • So as an existing shopback and temu customer I can make 3 orders of $50 each and get $90 cash back in total?

    • Yep, that’s right! 👍 You can make three $50 orders and get a total of $90 Cashback. 🚀

  • +1

Placed two orders yesterday. Neither tracked but was not surprised. Will have to manually lodge it. Shopback provides the best cashback rates but it normally requires you to spend extra time.

    • It can take upto 5 days as far as I know and is mentioned in t&c as well. So you still have time.

      • I know. But from my experience, if you don't get it tracked in a few hours, you're most likely to get nothing in the end unless a manual report is submitted. I actually booked accommodation from Bookings yesterday as well. Got the tracking email in a few minutes.

        • +1

Hey! 😊 The standard tracking period for Cashback from Temu can take up to 5 days from the date of purchase. If it hasn’t tracked after that, feel free to submit a claim, and we’ll sort it out for you! 👍

  • @gotyourback does after order price adjustments credit affect the cashback?
