  • How difficult is it to get toners for these? PBTech sells them for example yet only had half the toners available to order, at least one was missing.

  • Others online said these Chinese ones work good, only $65 delivered from eBay
    http://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/281679726611

  • Should also be able to use the WELCOME5 code for $5 off to bring it down to $120

  • My one arrived today, VERY nice printer/scanner/copier/fax. Has toner included.

Getting rid of my B&W laster and injjet colour printers for this sucker

    • Thanks for the feedback. did it come with test toners or full capacity ones?

      • I picked one up on thursday and according to the brochure, Printer is shipped with one standard toner with a yield of 1,000 pages (Black) and 700pages (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow)

i.e. you should theoretically get 1000 B & W pages and 700 colour pages before having to replace toner. In theory.

Really really nice printers though, glad I got one.

  • I went and picked one of these up from Harvey Norman after seeing this Deal.
It's an incredibly nice printer, definitely worth buying. Doubt i'll ever replace the colour toner though, considering you need 3 colours and each are about $130. Think i'll let the colour get low enough and then leave it as-is to stop the warnings coming up.
The touchscreen and scan to email/usb are what sold me. Had the thing setup connected to gmail's SMTP server in no time.
The cashback process was quick. Bought mine on the 18th and had the claim approved 2 days later. I guess i'll believe it when the money is in my account though. Beware though the mycashback website is utter crap though and most details you enter dont seem to get through to Fuji Xerox. A simple follow up email to them seems to sort it. Not painless but not impossible either.

  • Awesome find! Thanks! Went to Warehouse Stationery and got them to beat price by 5% with no issues. $108 after cashback.

Having trouble setting up the scan to email using gmail. What settings did you use?

    • From what I can remember, this is what worked (cant give you a tutorial sorry as I just made it up as I went.)
I created a new gmail account to be the 'sender'. Log in to that account on the web and enable "less secure apps" (google it for the exact details).
The SMTP login doesnt work without that step I dont think

Login to the printer's web interface in a browser.

      Properties tab
Click 'SSL/TLS Server Communication' under Security
Change 'SMTP - SSL/TLS Communication' to "* STARTTLS (if Available)"
      click apply

Then click protocol settings -> Email

Machine's email address: your newly created (or not) gmail address including the @gmail.com
      SMTP server address: smtp.gmail.com
      SMTP port: 587

E-mail Send Authentication: *SMTP AUTH (auto)
Login name: your newly created (or not) gmail address including the @gmail.com
      password: that account's password

I think that's all. Click apply and should be good to go.

It seems to be painfully slow to upload anything other than a PDF or jpeg above about 300dpi to gmail.
Google seems to be throttling it for some reason. If you need faster uploads of attachments try using something else as the SMTP server.
I was going to setup an MTA on my LAN for this but just gave up. This works well enough

      • Thanks so much for your detailed response! Finally got it working. Much appreciated!
