It's a very good deal. Just got to wait for the contract to end for me.

    • Grab one says two days left on the deal though.

You could purchase it then schedule your connection for whenever your current contract ends (assuming we aren't talking years here).

Even better, 'gift' yourself one. You don't even need to have a account. Just click the gift to a friend button, enter your email as the 'friend' and [email protected] as the sender. Don't click the claim button in the email for a couple of months and you should be good.

    unlimitedinternet.co.nz

    • Unlimitedinternet.co.nz's plans are about $5 cheaper than big pipe's. I think that $5 is worth it for a known reliable service + one month free and six months free light box.

been with unlimited for over a year, great service and good connection speed. Would recommend

        • Same here. But since moving out of Auckland I've been considering changing to a different provider. They don't have a contract to offer UFB where I am even though it's available. They said they're under negotiations but it has been a while.

      • Does unlimited have static ip? How much? Or does it use cgnat like bigpipe

        • BigPipe has a one off cost of ~$45 for static ip.

        • @ClipIt:

Or free for a public facing dynamic IP from memory, but it must be requested.

        • @Shaw: I don't think they offer this anymore since the static ip rollout

        • @justaddwater:

Oh ok, been a couple of years since I joined and a year since I left, so makes sense.

        • @Shaw: are you with unlimited now? Is it because it's $5 cheaper for the same level of service or?

        • Yes, found this on the website.

          Static Public IP Address

A public IP allows gamers trouble free access to the Xbox and Playstation networks, as well as other gaming services.

This service also allows easy use of peer to peer software.

For a one off fee of $45 we will set you up with your own Public Static IP for the length of your time with us, and you won't have to pay any ongoing charges.

  • Looks like it has been extended!

  • So what is the best way to use this if you are a current customer ?? (Not on a contract)

    • Probably churn out to another isp for a little while and then back when this deal comes around again.
