    Got mine a while back for $1.35 after cashback thanks to DSE closing down. It's a pretty decent inkjet printer. But it's a huge printer as compare to my laser printer, I guess it's good for a small home office.

        Haha wouldn't say it's the best but definitely one of the best for sure!! The best one is when Canon paid me $70 cashback and printer only cost me $65!! So pretty much got paid to take a free canon mfc printer :P

          @ClipIt:

          Back in the day :)

          I still remember having 8 or 10 of them stacked as a wall in the lounge, wife hated it haha

          @Shaw: so how did you get rid of them??

        • +1

          @bigbosssnake:

          Given some away, the rest have been relocated out of the lounge, along with the rest of the sub $10 printers.

    • This deal is actually about the same price (even cheaper after WELCOME5) but Canon have dropped their cashback from $140 to $100.

    • Got mine a while back for $1.35 after cashback

      How could you pay that much. I prefer the $1.20 deal, it's a whole $0.15 cheaper!

  • Are these wifi capable? That's a pretty big requirement these days but some don't have it.

    • Yup.

  • i have one of these printers from the last deal..its a excellent machine, can anyone recommend a place to buy replacement ink for it?

    • +2

      You will find buying a new printer on these deals cheaper than buying new ink.

      Tried resetting the inks memory but with these newer models I have not found a way to stretch the last ink out.

      • looks that way, just feel such a waste and bad for the environment

        • Very, seems canon does everything they can to avoid bootleg filling in order to keep brand loyalty. (I havn't tried but I assume the ink still thinks its empty when its fill)

  • Don't think DSE are selling printers anymore so this maybe the best deal in a while…

    • Even if there were they wouldn't be eligible for NZ cashback promotions.

      I just discovered a $1.20 printer.

      • looks like it's expired now…Was that deal on for just a day?

        • Sold out super quick unfortunately.
