70

Credit to BigBossSnake for suggesting the price beat.

Mitre10 will beat any advertised in stock price by 15%, so you can refer them to this which is selling for $79.00 at the moment.

This brings the total price down to $67.15 which is quite a lot cheaper than the Karcher WV2

  • Thx. Anyone use this before? Is it good? Or better to fork out more money for the karcher? Thx.

  • Kinda make me regret buying it from Amazon now.. Just remembered that it'll come with a British plug too! Good price for this unit here

    • Another point of comparison is that this comes with 2 year warranty as compared with the Karcher 1 year warranty.

We love the Karcher but have had to replace it twice in six months because of problems with the pump motor sounding like a dying cow. Apparently there had been a few returns for similar issues.

That said though we've used it on an almost commercial basis so certainly have made it work hard. One of the key points in using non-foaming detergents/cleaner. It can't handle it.

So if you have one, flog it well early on so that if it is going to fail, it does it during warranty period.

Considering purchasing this one as a spare and to compare performance. The Nilfisk is a reputable brand. This unit looks lighter and easier to use on an extension. But this may mean that the suction pump is underpowered by comparison.

Nilfisk also has two blade widths. In theory the Karcher also has two blade widths available but have never seen the non-standard blade available for purchase.

    • Cancel it if it hasn't been shipped.

      • It's been couriered a few days ago. Will follow Jay's advise and put it to maximum usage

        • It's still a very good bit of kit, so you haven't lost on the deal. Just the hassle of having to use an adaptor plug.

Note: Most common review complaint is that it leaves streaks. This is a handling fault, not a machine fault. There is a sweet spot on the angle you hold the unit, respective to the surface being cleaned. Get it right and you'll have a perfect clean.

          Enjoy!

Thanks! Nilfisk builds products to last. I have a Nilfisk lux thats older than me, and still works like new.

    • Had never actually heard of the brand before, but inherited one during our move we are doing at the moment, and it's great.

    • Glad to know. Jelly

  • They're a Danish company that's been around for ages. I bought my Nilfisk King vacuum cleaner 15 years, and it's still going strong.

  • Awesome. My wife today suggested we get one of these "you can get one for around $100", and this saved us over $30.

    • Just a tip: When you find a deal you like (like this one) there is a green + button you can click to give it a vote so more see it.

    • Wife may have suggested it, but who do you think will be muggins who is expected to use it!

    • +1

      Yes, a vote wouldn't go astray …

  • Went to mite 10 Hamilton today to do the price beat. They only price match for me as there is no 100% store in town. Is this right or I just got a bad sales assistant?
But still happy with the post. Just somehow feel shafted by mitre10 as I go to Auckland regularly. Could have gotten it there but wasn't sure how long the promotion by 100% will go for.

    • Probably right, the price beat does specify they will beat any local price.

      • Gutted… I always seems to miss out on things/deals. Lol.
