    • New one battery life isn't quite so good.
      Connects to same app as the original one, so can transition without losing your data.
      New one only reads heart rate when you activate that function, so won't track it over a work out etc.
      New one seems less sensitive (less steps per day) than the original version one. Original version did align fairly closely with the iPhone health app as a 2nd reference check.
      New one is a bit fatter, but all works ok, still not massive, but does require a different charging connector and band.

        Oh great, another one-off connector to carry around, then lose. Would it hurt the propitiatory brand so much to use a universal connector!

          I know what you mean, but to be fair I don't think there is an industry standard for this type of thing yet. These are surface contact connections to maintain the water tightness, so a traditional usb/lightning connection approach doesn't really fit the target in this case. It's at least standard USB on the other end ;)
