$4.50 Local Courier (up to 50 x 50 x 24 cm and 25kg) @ Pass the Parcel

60

This isn't a special, but it's a very cheap way of couriering bulky items locally.

You can courier an item up to 50 x 50 x 24 cm and 25kg for just $4.50.

Local usually means within the same city. Check here for a map of what is considered local in your area. It's surprisingly generous.

For those unfamiliar with Pass the Parcel's "use your own box" service. You simply enter all the shipping details, pay online, print the label and stick it to the box. The courier will then pick up from your door. My parcels are usually picked up within a few hours of placing an order.

"All prices include GST and a free courier pick-up for qualifying addresses. There is no additional surcharge for deliveries to rural addresses. Just pay the price for the destination you are sending to. Any increases to our rates will be advertised in our FAQs section one month prior to an increase taking place.

Note: At this time we are unable to deliver to the Hauraki Gulf Islands (such as Waiheke Island),Stewart Island or Chatham Island."

  • You can actually send an A4 size item, up to 10kg and 10cm thick if you use your own pack (about 10-20cents on trademe) - this is nationwide at $4.50. They also do free RD

In saying that this isn't a deal, it's been like this for years

    • Yeah their A4 rates are good as well. I agree it's not a deal as such, but anyone shipping large 25kg parcels locally will benefit from this post. So many people just rock up at NZ Post and just pay whatever they charge. $4.50 for a parcel of that size and weight is ridiculously cheap.

  • We use pass the parcel for any RD address at work.
Otherwise if anyone on here is sending a decent amount of parcels look at courierit. They can be very very sharp with prices

    • Courierit looks nice. Do they accept personal account sign-ups or just business only?

      • In all honesty im not sure. We send about 30-50 parcels per month. Not a huge spender.
I suspect they may not deal with personal accounts with infrequent sending.
