Pretty good price if you want a brighter LED bulb than the standard 6/8W ones.

I personally don't have any experience with this brand but they carry with them a 12mos warranty.

More info on brand. (http://www.fsllighting.co.nz/webpages/about-fsl/)

  • I brought a couple par38s for my outside and managed to haggle a couple of their 10w bayonet bulbs into the deal at last years ideal homeshow in Palmerston north.
I have found no fault in them yet and have all been installed for nearly a year now, I actually had to adjust the angle on my outdoor light as the neighbors across the street were complaining whenever i would be out at night as it went through their "blackout" curtains.

    • +1

I'm having problems finding PAR38 LED bulbs at a reasonable price. Bunnings is selling them for $28 each and Ebay/Aliexpress isn't much cheaper. $56 for 2 PAR38 LED bulbs is uneconomic compared to incandescent bulbs for security sensor-type lighting - you'll never recoup the cost before the LEDs fail, as they're very exposed to weather.

I could waterproof some normal E27 LED bulbs, but I'm not sure how that would work out.

      • i got the par38s for $15ea if i recall correctly, was a homeshow special

  • Pretty good price, I thought 1050 lumen output is closer to 75W equivalent yet they've got 100W equivalent on the manufacturer's specs, might get some for outside lights to try them out

    • Roughly 85W according to consumer.org. It's rare that you'd see one rated at 85W though. Probably why they've put 100W instead.
