It's always frustrating seeing the constant deals on ThinkPads over on OzBargain — now we can partake as well!

The deal isn't quite as good, but Lenovo NZ seems to be particularly stingy in that regard.

Normal price for this version of the E470 is $1399 according to Lenovo, but it's more like $1259.10 if you use the monthly 10% off discount code (MAYWELC2017 as of 19/06/17).

If you're a student or teacher, you can get an extra $41 off by using their education store.

The rest of the Lenovo EOFY deals can be found here but they don't seem quite as good.

Specs for the E470:
Processor
Intel Core i5-7200U Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.10 GHz)
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64
14.0 FHD (1920x1080) IPS Non-Touch
8GB DDR4-2133 SODIMM RAM
2.5" 5400RPM 1TB Hard Disk Drive
Warranty: 1 Year
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 2GB
3 Cell Li-Polymer Battery 45WH
Intel Dual Band Wireless AC(2x2) 8265, Bluetooth Version 4.1

I look at the AUS prices and choose not to give them my business buying locally.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/310317

256GB SSD instead of the slow 1TB and it's $750NZD.

  • Fair enough (although the AU$729 is using an Ebay deal, rather than the Lenovo store). Lowest price I've seen through Lenovo Australia's website has been AU$849, again for better specs.

edit: Sorry, this was meant to be in reply to Teckiwi.

edit 2: I just checked with Lenovo NZ - they will honour warranty for an E470 purchased in Australia, so if anyone is travelling to Australia soon, would suggest buying from Lenovo Australia (and also claiming back the GST) rather than buying this.

  • Does AU also get a THREE cell battery?

    • Yup, unless you opt to upgrade it.
