No these are not. but I can barely hear people when at half volume if that helps

I haven’t flown anywhere since I’ve had this model. The 950BT was only good at drowning out engine noise at max volume. There is noise leakage from the speakers at that volume so may not be appropriate sitting next to others
I have had very bad experiences ordering direct from Sony's website (very lengthy delivery times ~~ going into several months each time). It arrived both times and both items were listed as 'in-stock' but Sony's excuse for making me wait over a month before even sending it each time was they were awaiting stock delivery.
Their support is amazing but just my 2c - not sure about others experiences
