I can understand not wanting to submit your ID. However, the ID check is done by a trusted third party (onfido), not blockchain.
Blockchain meanwhile has been around for a quite some time and is usually the go-to block explorer for Bitcoin transactions and quite the opposite of a scam.
$25 worth of crypto for a copy of my passport or license and email address? What could go wrong.
