  • Bad bad bad model, it's major flawed. Do not get it as the noise cancelling function tends to fail badly in a short period of time. I've bought two second hand units and their nc was inferior, looked up online to find that many people have been suffering from this issue.

I am unsure about the QC35 II, but QC35 must be avoided.

Had mine for a few years with hundreds of hours of use and I couldn't be happier. Reviews are pretty good too - maybe I was lucky?

      • Your experience seems to be what everyone else has had.

      • My QC25 is working well in terms of NC, but the QC35 (I did buy them second hand 2x QC35), the QC35 were inferior, I have tried demo units in stores where voices of others will be cancelled as best as it could, but both the QC35 I have didn't do the same. That's when I looked up online and lots of people are experiencing the same issue. Nevertheless, there is the 1 year warranty I guess.

  • AudioTechnica > Bose

    • Depends on what you're comparing. If it's noise cancelling, Bose and Sony are the top dogs and this is backed not my personal opinion, but by reviews and sale numbers.

  • This isn't cheap. Have seen Gen2 selling for same price brand new on TM and this was only 2~3 months ago. I know this because I was looking at the Bose QC35 II and the Sony wh-1000xm3. I ended up getting the Sony and got the Bose for free as a gift.

You can also buy the Sony for around the same price. The Sony goes for $400 at the Sony retail store in Sylvia Park and several places sell them at that price during Xmas or whatever public holiday.

Also, the XM4 is coming out soon in August this year. I know because I have my sources.

Neither the Bose (mark II) or the Sony are worth over $350. They are both good and I own both. But I personally don't think they are worth that price.

Also, you can buy the Bose QC35 II from the Asian Trademe equivalent sites for $280 ~ $320. Look up PCHome Online or something similar. If you know someone going to Taiwan or lives there, can probably get them to get it for you. Or just buy it when you visit Asia.
