  Bottled LPG is a very big profit maker for petrol stations. That's how they make money despite thin margins in 91 octane.

  I just read a GeekZone thread from a couple of years ago, seems even then $30+ was the norm, with variations from $25 up to around $40.

    Here's one from last year complaining about paying $35.
    It was only 5 years ago we used LPG as our main source of heating and it was $20 refill or about $35 for a swappa-bottle.

    Makes me wonder how someone could possibly afford to run an LPG heater nowadays.

      Legacy heating systems probably. The only thing that should run on bottled LPG is a barbecue.
