Is there anything at Briscoes that doesn't go down to half price at practically every sale event?
Accessory-type stuff like vacuum filters and Nutribullet cups, those usually go 30-40%. Plastic containers are another one for some reason. But otherwise, no, everything gets its turn.
Funny thing is 50% isn't even the best deal on a lot of things - many will go to 60-70% - so it can be difficult to know what is actually worth buying if you don't keep track of the store. The best deals are generally offered on specific items during their weekly single-day sales.
Briscoes definitely like to confuse the consumer, the tactic clearly works for them.
This price history site is awesome. Really useful as they do manipulate the pricing a lot.
We just bought a outdoor set for $1199 which the normal price is $3999 and then they often discount it to 2k. My wife thought this 50% off and 2k was ok and a "good deal", but using the site I could see for a couple of days last year it dropped to $1200 - so we held off , and sure enough it dropped again for a couple of days this week to $1199 - wouldnt have even thought that was possible without the site.
Also shows how much room to move there is for briscoes, so you really should use this site to make sure that even the 50% off is actually a good deal.

I've bought things half price thinking it was a good deal but found Briscoes had done 75-80% reductions before. Things like spare sheets/towels which aren't urgent.
Protip: You can get Mitre 10 to do a 15% price beat on some of the appliances. Check first (and check stock levels as well) before you buy.
