To be exact it is $749 until today with $250(edited) gift card bonus (gift card ends tomorrow, but the discount ends today).

It is a bit of a niche item. But if you own Canon EOS-M line camera, this is a highly rated lens. If you can make use of the $250 gift card. This lens is effectively 60% of the price in US (taking into account tax and conversion rate using BHphoto price).

If you can't make use of the gift card. The same lens is on sale on Canon NZ website for $800 with 10% discount code making it $720.

  Would be nice to get this. I had heard lenses may be quite cheaper with the 'friends and family' cost + 7.5% type deals at Noel Leeming, one of the few items that might be beneficial under those deals.

    Ooh you are right. I did not know about the cost + x% being good for lenses. Will need to look into this for the future.

  I find this promotion quite confusing. It makes out that you need to spend $899 or more to get the $250 voucher. On the T&Cs it even states that this is on individual items, implying that it must be $899+ on a single item. However, the little stamp saying a bonus $250 voucher are on a lot of items that are under $899. Have you followed up on this? Otherwise people might be purchasing this and finding out they've paid $749, with no voucher.

    Yeah, I did wonder about that. I did give them a call after I read your message to confirm. They did say that I will receive the gift card. But I guess only time will tell. Having said that, I thought the worst case scenario would be having to cancel and get a refund.
