  • Warehouse Stationery at the top of the GST receipt .

  • The main image shows this model as $60 cashback but on the T&Cs it says TR4560 is only a $30 cashback.
I don't know which one is correct.

    • Yes Canon web ,TR4560 $60 refund and then T&C $30,Canceled mine

      • where did you see the T&C. I went to Canon Website, it's $60 cash back

        • +1

It's at the very bottom of the page.
It says "PIXMA HOME OFFICE TR4560 / $30"

I think the cashback is actually $60 because I clicked the cashback and tried filling in the form and it shows $60.

          • @gunman: Do you know if we can get the receipt from Warehouse Stationary if we place an order from the market? Thanks.

            • +1

@GenAI: Sorry I'm not sure but I think it should work because it's still from the warehouse stationery. I called the Canon customer service team yesterday and asked if I could claim a cashback at retailers that are not listed on the T&C's like PB Tech and Smiths City and the lady said yes, it's not a problem.

              • @gunman: Cool. Thanks. And by any chance that you've tried Kiwi wallet? I've gone to TheMarket through Kiwi Bank yesterday and placed an order. But I couldn't see any transaction today on the Kiwi Wallet website.

                • @GenAI: I'm not too familiar with kiwiwallet, sorry.
If you purchased yesterday have you already filled the Canon cashback form online? I was lucky enough to get one from PB Tech yesterday but am looking to get this one for my brother

                  • @gunman: No, I haven't. I thought I have to supply the paper receipt that may come with the printer. Maybe I can just use the online shopping history from The Market?

                    • @GenAI: You can definitely use the online invoice. I have claimed a few cashbacks in the past and all of them have been done using the online invoice.

  • Do you know if we place the order on the market, whether they will send us the warehouse stationary receipt as well? Because we will have to supply the receipt from participated stores.

  • I have placed a couple of orders the market but never recieved an invoice(physically or online). What is norm with the market orders with invoice?

    • They are legally required to give you a gst invoice, either from the market themselves or from the store. Just let them know you dont have one.

      • +1

My understanding is that it is only required to be provided if the amount is over $50.

        • Because they're not needed for amounts under $50 some businesses may not bother. But still they're still required to issue them for any amount, but only if another GST registered business asks https://www.ird.govt.nz/gst/tax-invoices-for-gst/how-tax-inv…

(I believe they may be required for income tax expenses claims so there's a good reason why some people may want them.)

          • @Nil Einne: Just wanted to add that as a practical matter, I can't imagine any large business is going to waste their time asking you if you're a GST registered entity and then refuse to provide an invoice if you're not. They should have the systems in place to issue them already so it will just waste more time. Even if someone in customer service is confused, I imagine if you just point them to the IRD they'd just issue one if they can, or send it higher up if they can't. And if they really have a flaw in their system making it difficult for them to issue invoices they'll fix it rather than worrying whether they're legally required to for the person asking.

        • I believe the legal requirement is that, where the vendor is GST registered, for any transaction of $100 or more, the vendor MUST provide a GST invoice, and for any other transaction, must provide a GST invoice upon request.

The GST registration status of the purchaser is not relevent.

Happy to be proven wrong of course.

          Alan.

        • usually if it's a small amount they will send the gst invoice with the order itself.

    • +1

I just brought this printer and yes the GST invoice is emailed on payment.

    • I've placed a couple of orders with them, the confirmation order has this is your gst invoice written on it. Easily missed but it is definitely there so they don't need to follow up with anything more than that.

Heads up: these don't include a USB printer cable (which is a different shape to a regular USB plug). You can print via Wifi but it must be 2.4GHz and not 5GHz.

  • Remember to cancel the market club after placing order if you don't want it to renew

It'll still last a month even if you cancel straight away you just wont have to worry about it auto-renewing

    • I've written the date on my whiteboard… But being a free 90 day retrial, it might be good to leave on foot for a while. But, I just don't see myself buying anything other than NL or TWH stuff through the Market.

      • I keep thinking that then they go and do $30 off vouchers from NL or THW for things I was looking to buy anyway.

      • Sorry I typed that wrong, I cancelled and the membership ends on the 28 Aug so 3 months not 1 - so you still get the 90 day trial :)

So if you planning to not renew or unsure you might as well cancel now, and renew when you need to next :)

Atleast this is how I understand it

        • OK, will do then - can anyone else also confirm this? One wonders how the Market stays afloat, if they keep offering extended re-trials and discount vouchers?

  • Isn't the Pixma TR7560 a better buy though? Currently also $69 at PB Tech with $60 cashback. Part of PB Queens B'day Sale

    EDIT: Says sold out now

    • yes that’s why there is none left of that deal

  • Can confirm the TR4560 is stil available @ The Market and also applied for cashback, says $60 on the page, form and confirmation as well.
However, via a different link (Canon NZ Online shop) the front page says $30 cashback - I believe this is just an error with the deal not reflecting in different parts of Canon website. $60 cashback definitely looks valid & invoice came through from Warehouse Stationary.

    • But the TR4560 has a RRP of $99, so $60 cashback is pretty generous, wouldn't you say so? I would rather err on the side of caution and say $30 cashback is more accurate, just IMO. But who knows, Canon might just process the $60 cashback in the end, with no drama.

  • Has anyone successfully received the $60 cashback for this printer?
I just had a look on the Canon website and it shows $30 cashback on the main page as well as the T&Cs now

    • have you received cash back yet? how much did you get?

  • Only $30 cash back received :( thinking about free return as bought from the market

    • oh man, ive just got a confirmation of my accepted cash back…will have to see how much i get when it comes through

  • +1

Just confirming my 60 cash back came through today hassle free. Sweet deal for $9.
Claimed it on 01/06 while it was still valid for $60 cash back on TR4560. Good luck!

    • Did you get an email from Canon saying it was accepted?

      • +1

We just got ours, I haven't had a single e-mail from canon but we just got exactly $60 put in to our account from Converga Group Ltd. Nothing else goes in to that account except our money to pay the rent and credit card so I think they were the only people that have the account number.

    • got my $60 cashback today also :)

  • Yup 0 emails after the online form submit “confirmation” just a deposit into my nominated bank acc from Converga with “canon” as the reference. Nothing else goes in to our out of that account I used.

Reckon there was this lucky break during the queens b’day LWK sales where retailers dropped prices on these printers with canon still offering $60 on this model before realising it’s too low and corrected it to $30 which does make sense. Not that there hasn’t been a deal for $9 before (TR7560) this time as well as at least once before too.

In short if you saw $60 cashback offer when you submit the claim for this model and the confirmation also said so then pretty much should get it. If you delayed submitting the claim until after canon rectified the promotion then $30 it is. Of course this is based on my experience and YMMV. Good luck
