  • How do these compare to say the vivoactive 3 etc?

  • Good find and a better deal than the fitbits

  • Just going to warn people that this watch is not very good. The HR tracking is poor, the interface looks very dated and features are poor.
I bought mine in 2019 Black Friday sales from amazon for 160NZ, and promptly bought a Huawei GT2. I sold it for about what I paid [$160 after trademe fees] and that's possibly the best sale I've ever made.

I wouldn't pay $50 for it. I don't like Huawei due to their CCP backing, so won't be purchasing any more of their watches in the future, but as far as it compares, for double the price [when on sale] you're getting a watch that's about 10 years more modern in terms of features, functionality and look.

There are significantly better watches on the market

I haven't heard of any issues with the HR tracking, in fact this is a very popular watch among runners and is often compared to chest straps for accuracy and holds up very well.

It sounds like you wanted more of a smartwatch than a basic fitness tracker which is what this unapologetically is. There's always the Forerunner 45, 245, or even a Fenix. Loads of options if that's the direction you want to head.

Yeah these are awesome from a fitness perspective.
I have the Vivoactive 3 and it’s all good and tracks gps and heart rate well.

It’s not a smart watch though and the screen/ technology is quite old. Not a direct comparison for an iwatch for example.

      • Point taken, however I would say the HR tracking on this is definitely woeful. My HR would be at 140, then 80 about 5 seconds later. A pulse check would confirm this is not the case. My mom used it for a few months and simply wants an activity tracker and she is definitely 10x happier with the gt2 i bought her.

One is a sports watch, while other is trying to be a "smart" watch.

  • does it come with a heart rate monitor chest strap? or is it measuring from your wrist?

    • Measures from the wrist.
