Why would I buy this when I can get a high end phone with what should be a decent method of taking photos for the same price? And yea I know a few will smack their foreheads but that's how knowledgeable I am on the subject.
this one is a very popular camera for youtubers, travel vloggers, or anyone that wants to have a decent equipment to record daily videos. It’s very popular like a gopro.
It would be worth noting that this camera is an old model (there is a G7x III now) and it has been at this price multiple times in the past 12 months - I think the real deal is the free Photo printer.
This is a pretty old camera now, but capable if you want to step it up a bit.
It's interesting to see how cellphones are evolving in this space though. Having a real zoom, tilt screen and larger sensor for better low light images is the main improvement over a cellphone, but if that's not important to you then these point and shoots are dropping away now. This is a popular model though, but nowadays is showing it's age (not 4k video for example).
