Great price for a classic KitchenAid Mixer, picked one up a few months ago for $495 and thought that was a great deal! Use it weekly for pizza night, very robust and has enough grunt to knead the dough with ease. Comes with three attachments; dough hook, whisk and mixing paddle.

Choose this one over the Artisan, due to $170 cheaper.
And the only down side is Motor is 25W less, Bowl is 0.5L less compacity and no bowl pouring shield.
We are not heavy users so not having these were fine with us.
Personally I think the classic mixers are good value and meet the needs of most kiwi kitchens unless you are a hardcore baker and the price is a steal.
Is this the same as the ones for $450 at briscoes?
The Briscoes one is the Mini. Which is the smaller version.
I think normally the Mini version can be purchased for around $350 when on sale.
Ah ok. They both started with 5KSM but then different codes after that so wasn't sure.
