Free Upgrade to Multi-City Entertainment Book for $69.99 (was $119) (21 Cities, 1 Year Membership)

140

I've been using Entertainment Book for probably more than a decade now, and the book pays for itself within 2 outings.

The multicity is so much better as you'll have access to ALL of NZ, AUS, and Bali deals.

This is also handy if you're going to be exploring NZ as you'll be able to access deals to other cities as well :)

If you don't know of a fundraiser, you can use KidsCan or Starship

  • Is there a list of the 2-for-1 and 50% off deals?

    • -1

I think if you download the app you can browse the vouchers without having a membership. You can then view a category and filter for things like 2 for 1 and 50% off and dining alone.

I can't tell if its for the 21-22 year? I already have 20-21 so does it roll over?

Would like to know as well. I've got a membership till 22 and want to know if this will extend it to 23.

I got in touch with Entertainment Book on Facebook for an answer. A newly purchased and activated subscription runs concurrently with an existing one. It makes very little sense that EB have implemented memberships in this way. Hopefully they change this in the future.

        • Thanks for that! What a scam :(

        • It makes sense to me.

Imagine if you had the old paper book which expires 31 May 2021 but you bought a new one now. The old one will still expire 31 May 2021 but the new one would have a new expiry date.

You can still use your old digital vouchers before they expire but you can also use the new ones.

@n908671: However, the time between now and May 31 is essentially being paid for twice. I don't see how that is considered reasonable. You still have the single set of coupons available, because presumably most people would be digital to digital from year to year (I don't think they even produce the physical books anymore).

          • @n908671: thats a lot of vouchers to use in 17 days

  • Not sure if this helps but i just purchased this deal and now have 90 days to activate the new membership:

How do these books work? Are the coupons single use only?

    • +1

      Yes they are.

Unless the shops don't ask to press the button. We've had a few that we show the phone and they just knock the price off and don't ask us to push the voucher so we could use it again if we wanted to. McDonald's when they were on it never pressed it for the buy one get one free coffees. We probably made our money back just on those, that's probably why they aren't on it anymore.

Personally haven't found this app useful.

  • Well that's a tad annoying. I just got the multi city for $120 with $40 Countdown voucher.

    • I hope they do a free trial again like several years back. That was a great offer, because it's hard to get a discount at St Pierre's Sushi.

  • Do you still get the $40 Countdown voucher, or has that been replaced by the price reduction to $69.99?

    • New deal with no giftcard

      • Makes sense - would have been too good otherwise!

  • I'm confused is it worth buying EB. The price doesn't seem much around $6 / month ($70/year). Any tips to make the most out of EB and get maximus benefits would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't find many restaurants/takeaway in the list where I visit often : KFC, St Pierre's Sushi

    • It's lost a few offers this year. It's a double edged sword having it as if we decide to grab food when out and about we gravitate to places that have offers in the book. So in some ways we try some things we might not usually but we also really limit our options.

We tend to use buy one get one free offers like st Pierre's for just the 2 of us and if we go out with friends we've often used the 25% off the bill vouchers for everyone. As I said above there's a good few buy one get one free coffees in there too and they add up, only have to have one of those and a food discount a month and you easily make the money back, even more so if it's a free meal you would have anyway.

      • Thanks
