30

Spend $2,000 or more in a single transaction with your humm Big things wallet at either PB Tech, JB Hi-Fi NZ or Heathcote Appliances from 24 – 30 June 2021 and you will be eligible for a $200^ credit back!
^Lending criteria, $10 late fee, T&Cs apply. An establishment fee of $20 and a $2.50 monthly account applies to humm Big things only.

Looking at the faq it appears you can pay the full amount back early to avoid additional monthly account fees. Looks like best case scenario after establishment and one month account fee you'd walk away with $177.50 credit back.

  • Any idea what credit is? Just funds that can be used at any store which has Humm? I presume it can't be used to pay off the $2k+ purchase

    • I imagine it will work the same as when they run similar promotions for their Little Things and the credit will be applied to your outstanding Humm balance.

    Buried in the T&C:

The Creditback will be allocated on 21 July 2021 and the Creditback applied by 30 July 2021 to eligible humm customers accounts.

So if you’re going to do as @nachos suggests and pay it off early, you may want to wait until you’ve seen the credit applied against your purchase

Worth noting PB Tech charge a 2.5% fee for using Humm, which would add another $50 to a $2000 purchase.

    • ah sneaky!

    • hmm, why are they doing this? Is this the transaction fee that Humm applies on its purchases?

      • Yes, most BNPL services charge around a 5% fee to the retailer.

      • PB pass all payment fees onto their customers under the guise of keeping their prices low. You can't even pay with credit card without a fee

Yikes. I went to sign up, and Humm requires you to provide your bank online account and password directly to them to "verify" your ability to pay. That violates every bank's terms of use, and could land you in legal trouble. Not worth the kickback once I realised that.

    • yeah not good, i think POLi does something similar too
