3 Months Free Fiber Broadband + Modem for New Customers on 12 Month Contracts @ Skinny Fibre Broadband

100
  • 3 months free Fibre Broadband
When you join Skinny Fibre on a 12 month plan. Plus, get your modem on us!

Skinny Broadband Fibre 100/20 3 Months Free. one of the best deals I have found around. $78 a Month X 9 months = $702 divided by 12 months works out to be about $58.50 roughly a month. on a 12 Months contract. modem free, postage $10. Currently with Stuff Fibre the Best they could offer 4 months half price. even with a Referral of 6 months half price the Skinny works out to be a better deal.

  • Good deal. I just signed up for stuff. I would have jumped on this if that $10 discount on plan was available on fibre plan as well.

    • If they did at roughly $48.50 a month it would been a crazy deal.

$73 is only for 30/10. If you want 100/20 it is $78

    • Cheers, typo corrected

  • Does anyone whats the model of the Modem they are providing?

      • thanks, looks like 2 degrees still a better deal then

        • What deal do 2degrees have ?

        • +1

Feels like stuff fibre 6 months half price is still better unless you have a 2 degree mobile plan.

          • +1

@ace310: It only work if you are new customer, i am with stuff already and moving away, the best they will do is 4 month half price

    • Does everyone not have their own routers already at this point?

      • Just got contacted by Vodafone sales team yesterday. I'm with 2degrees right now, but the existing modem we have is a 2degree modem, to take up for the deal at Vodafone we will have to sign up for a 12 months contract to get a new modem delivered for free.

Same deal I took in July 2020. Good fibre speeds on the $78 plan. Would recommend that as a minimum.

Thank you! Still hard to beat the stuff, which used to offer 4month free

  • Better than Stuff. Up.

    • Not if you are looking for max fibre. Stuff comes out to $71.5 per month whereas skinny comes out to $73.5.

      • How?
I am only seeing Stuff do 4 months half price (2 months free) whereas Skinny is doing 3 months free. Stuff is doing 6 months half price but that is on a 2 year contract (hell nah!).

        Is there another deal somewhere?

  • I was with Skinny back in 2019. But subsequently changed providers. Would I qualify as a 'new customer' ?

    • Yes

  • Hi Folks, I have two of the spark mesh's https://www.spark.co.nz/shop/internet/spark-smart-mesh/ would anyone know if they can be used with Skinny too.

    • +1

I wouldn't see why as the spark modem is Huawei HG659B while the skinny one you get is Huawei HG659.

  • -1

Better yet if you work for Spark you get $120 credit per month for use on anything at Spark, rollover. Not for Skinny however.

    • +3

Spark's products are overpriced anyway. You'd get less value for money - I was paying $30 for a Spark 1.25GB plan back then, whereas with Kogan it's only $15 for 1.5GB. Moreover it's $60 for a Spark 12GB endless mobile, whereas with Kogan it's $35 for 15GB (not endless however). As an ex-Spark employee, I don't miss that concession that much tbh. Was pretty good when it was $150, though broadband price was much higher back then e.g $90 for Spark VDSL IIRC.

      • +3

As a Ex-spark staff completely agree with you. Most of staff that I knew had there broadband with other providers lol

  • does skinny fibre use CGNAT?

    • Referee to this link…https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=39&topicid=259939

  • you get another $10 off per month if you are with skinny mobile $16 plan or above

    • not for wired I think. only for the 4g ones

    • It's only for 4g wireless broadband.
