  It's a good price but unfortunately it needs a subscription, average video quality, on the plus side it's one of the only cameras that works with echo show.

  Eufy pro wireless it has its own storage ,six months battery life and very easy to set up you can buy either a two pack with bass and add to it later or four pack for about $800

  Anyone know if there is a way to jailbreak the ring cameras to have them record to your own hardware? The subscription is fairly expensive for multiple devices..

    I think you're better off to buy a camera that can support RTSP. I went down the Wyze route and they have a firmware for enabling RTSP which was good enough for me.
