  • Where do you enter the promo code? cant seem to find the box to enter the code

    • At checkout. Sometimes it takes Kogan/Dick Smith a while to put everything in the right place.

    • Try dse.co.nz and under the "Discount" text box on checkout.

Whats everyone buying on there this time around?

    • I bought a big ladder and some smaller things

  • Same can’t find the code option

    • The discount code box appears as an option in the checkout screen, but you'll only see it if you have in-stock items in your cart. So it won't show for presale items or anything out of stock. As an example, I'm picking up a pack of these and the discount code box is shown at checkout.

      • How long does this grow bag last? tx

        • I've only recently potted into these bags after picking up a bunch on the last free ship deal, so I'm really not sure. Though so far they have been great. Nice and sturdy, well constructed, decent handles and good water retention. From a quick search, it seems they can last up to a decade with proper care. Guess it depends on what you're growing in them too. Would highly recommend though - much cheaper than buying them locally. They have a range of different sizes as well.

      • Thanks 👍

  • I regret not buying the Ender 3 V2 last month when it was on back order. Now that they have it in stock its like $100 more expensive.

Dicksmith A'also have free shipping with the code "Freeship", but like Wakrak said, you caný enter in the code yet.

    • And glass bed was $8, now it's $25

    • If it's any use, the free shipping code wouldn't have worked on the printer anyway with it being on back order (codes always seem to be on in-stock items only).

You can pick up the v2 on Amazon AU for about $415NZD with free shipping. That seems about the cheapest currently. Creality don't seem to ship it direct to NZ - via www.creality3dofficial.com - from their Australian warehouse anymore. Similar story from Banggood, which is where I picked up mine in mid-2020.

As a side note, there is now a new Ender 3 model in the lineup which is the S1. Bit more $$ but could be a good option if you were planning on Ender 3 v2 + upgrades anyway.

      • I watched the review for Ender 3 S1 yesterday, looks like a great out of box printer.

    • I was fortunate to order the Ender 3 V2 when on special and have just been notified 3 days ago that's its on its way from Oz (expected despatch date was supposed to be 1st Feb). So cant wait to have a play.

I actually recommend checking out Elegoo Neptune 2 on Amazon AU. It is currently $255 AUD + $19 shipping. Essentially an Ender clone but with better quality control

They are not fishy, I bought quite few times from them(or DSE) and they seems quite nice. Even customer support is not too bad, it does take 1 day for them to reply emails. Please read above replies that if you have anything in your shopping cart not qualifying with the code, the input box won't show up.

  • Any $10 coffee pods? Haha

    • I've only got about 60 left from the last batch 😂

Was tempted to get the Kogan espresso machine instead but they've stuck $30 on the price.

  • They stopped shipping heavy stuff to NZ, miss the days they have almost same range as their AU site, might because NZPost no longer accept anything heavier than 25KG :-(

  • Had a feeling that a free shipping deal was incoming when the tv stand I've had my eye on for a while now jumped up in price by $30 last week which is what happened last time there was a free shipping deal with this crowd. I keep waiting for it to go back down to the $129 that I first saw it at early last year, but now the regular price seems to be $169 with it increasing to $199 during these free shipping deals.

I always pick up a new pair of Asics Kayanos - pretty much always the best place to get them reliably below $200.

    • +1

      Wth they sell shoes?.

      • Yeah they do at very great pricing. At least $30-40 cheaper than rebel

      • +1

They also do Altras if anyone is into trail/hiking shoes!

      • Kogan sells a wide range of crap

They purchased what was left of dick smith told get access to the brand and customer list.

    • I too just checked out the price of something I'd had my eye in, and the price had been jacked up fairly significantly on the dick smith site.

  • I was able to use dse.co.nz's SHIPFREE code successfully right after I saw this post.

    • I’ve added it to the post. Good find.

      • Thanks for the credit : )

  • Oh I really dislike them putting up prices to then offer free shipping. Something I'd been looking at is now about $25 more expensive. This is a very concerning practice.

    • +1

Not the first store to do it and won’t be the last unfortunately.

      • I'm assuming this would run afoul of NZ law, but as they're Australian based I'm not sure if it would apply?

        • I'm assuming this would run afoul of NZ law

If any of the other stores that did it got more than a few forum/Reddit posts or maybe a grumpy news article out of it then maybe they'd all stop. It really doesn't matter what jurisdiction they fall under, while half the competition are doing it too, they are going to carry on this way.

        • 1-Day always does it

    • Occasionally they forget and we all end up with hundreds of coffee pods for $9 a box delivered.

  • I can't find where to put in FREESHIP on the DickSmith site? The item is lasertag guns which is a toy, it's in stock so it shouldn't be an issue for the promotion?

    • +1

I think the it only shows up if you have eligible items in your cart. Empty your cart then add an eligible item, apply code, add your laser tag guns, delete the other eligible item that you initially added. See if the the code box disappears and a shipping charge gets added or not

  • Anyone use Kogan Smart Downlight before? Is the downlight come with driver and NZplug?

    https://www.kogan.com/nz/buy/kogan-smarterhometm-smart-led-d…

4x $70 free shipping. Do you find these worth changing from the regular one?

    • +1

We have the warm and cool white downlights all through the house and very very happy with them
Have it synced with google home - no issues
Would also highly recommend getting the Bluetooth gateway (separate product) to help with connectivity and controlling all of them

      • How easy was the installation process? Can you do it yourself or does it require an electrician?

  • Is these code expired? Not working now

    • January 25 as noted in the post.
