The Low Quantity Thread

Limited Quantity

If your deal has limited quantity, please mention it in the description. If the quantity is too small then your deal may be removed. As a guideline, less than 10 quantity of items is not enough for a deal unless the item has a high price.

This is the thread for these deals.

Far out. A solid four weeks for them to actually do clearance pricing. I feel like you used to get pretty reliable $1-3 chocolate on the Tue or Wed after Easter and this year everyone was wanting $6 for weeks. Are people paying it or are retailers just prioritising not losing money over clearing space?

    Lenovo ThinkPad T14 G3 14" Touch Screen i5-1235U 16GB 512GB Win11

    $828.00
    Was: $2,164.00

These are demo units apparently. Not sure about the specs versus price, but there where over 5 units as of submitting this .

    • yeah that's a good deal for "new" units (unless maybe they were demo units in a store or something, but that doesn't really track for business laptops)

Has shipping always been not combined for dick smith? I had about 9 items totaling around $18 but like $85 shipping, all sold by Zeaway.

      • +2

They are also a third party marketplace for other companies like Zeeway which is why your shipping cost so much

    Element14 with a decent sale

    Ender-3 Pro's for $110 + GST (free shipping),
    https://nz.element14.com/creality-3d/ender-3-pro/3d-printer-…

    • Wow thats a steal, its even cheaper than secound hand prices atm, might be worth posting on the main page.

      • Go for it if you have the time. I won’t be able to until later tonight.

    • Crap, don't have a place to put this in house. Great price though.

    • That is tempting. As someone who don't have much CAD experience, is it easy to pick up? Was thinking to get it to fix things around the house, e.g. 3d print broken gears for food processor, fix kid's toys, etc.

      • +2

Same here but its cheap enough to mess around and learn with, worst case if i don't end up using it i can always flog it off on FB marketplace for what I bought it for

        • Good point. Bought one, now finding an excuse to the wife.

… now finding an excuse to the wife.

            I wish I had your courage…..

            • @Alan6984: Turned out i didn't have to. Pricing error means no need to make up an excuse :)

      • I would get the V2 for $125 I guess rather then PRO. V2 is newer. I could be off as don't know much about 3d printers.

        • slightly better according to reddit, but can do upgrades on pro to match anyways
Both can be upgraded with parts

        • Am talking to element14 rep and they say system error, V2 cost $405.49 not $125. I'm cancelling my order..

There are 3d printers in libraries that are available to be used.

If you're just printing a couple of things here and there, it might make sense not to have the upfront capital cost of getting your own printer. I also imagine there is maintenance involved, and it needs to be used fairly frequently, otherwise dust may cause problems considering it is not an enclosed system. The printers in libraries are also significantly more expensive, which I imagine would have a difference in the finished product. If you haven't accessed a printer in a library before, I would question how badly you actually need it and if it is just contributing to unnecessary consumerism. The librarians would also be able to help you out to help get you started. Overall, it seems to me to be wise to try it out in a library first before investing the time, cost, and space in doing it all yourself.

I've learnt to make challenges like this against buying stuff to prevent me from buying stuff that I don't need, which I will regret purchasing later on, but do what you feel like.

        • Yes, have printed few things in library. It's just that it became an hassle to go and pickup when you don't have time. But I am still not ready to commit on buying a printer yet.

      • +1

yeah it's super easy to learn, fusion 360 is probably the most beginner friendly cad software in my opinion and its free for personal use (https://www.autodesk.co.uk/products/fusion-360/overview?term…).

Just make sure you learn how to dial in the bed level when you first start that's where most people go wrong and give up.

    • Claims 19 available in AU and hasn't updated since I (and others here) ordered one. Wonder if there may be cancellations?

      • +1

Yea thats why its probably not good to post it on main page

    • Here's a good comparison of the Pro vs the V2. Looks like the V2 is a definite clear winner.
      https://www.crealityexperts.com/ender-3-comparison

Edit: Aaannndddd, I talked myself into buying one to play with. Was looking at the V3 KE, but it's 4x the price so V2 it is for now.

    • *** WARNING ABOUT PRICING ***
If you purchase this, save a copy of your purchase confirmation page!

I bought the V2, listed at NZ $125 ex and $144 incl., and this was reflected on my final purchase confirmation page. HOWEVER, if I then go into my account and view my order, it's showing up as $405/$466, yikes! I have contacted their customer support to clarify this, with a reminder of how incredibly illegal bait and switch pricing is under NZ consumer law…

      • Ended up at the same position. Chatting to cancel the order now

        • So is the actual price higher? or the it is just showing wrong on the account page?

          • +1

@ace310: here is what he said:

Me (3:35:34 PM):so why is it $405.46 on the order confirmation?
Siddharth (3:37:27 PM):We have the stock in UK and the price showing on the website is wrong
due to an error. Our team is working to fix this.
Siddharth (3:37:34 PM):Sorry for the inconvenience
Me (3:38:15 PM):Ok, just want to make sure that I dont get charged $405.46. If it's at that price
then I would not get it.
Siddharth (3:38:36 PM):Sorry but this is the actual price

            • @spam: Ok thanks. So party is over. Hope someone early enough to order gets it.

            • @spam: Yet 5 hours later it's still on their site at the lower price.

Tempting to take the punt just in case but think this would be a swing and a miss to actually get hold of one.

        • I paid using a wise card early this morning and only transferred enough to cover the order, no sign of payment or shipping yet though.

          • @Sadie: Think I stuffed up my order, I had already received the order confirmation.
Emailed them asking them to change to the V2, and they cancelled the order and told me to reorder.
Now showing as $466 and on Backorder when I log in.

            • @Sadie: just order the pro while its still cheap

              • @Huntakillaz: 2945489 is no longer available from the supplier. Unfortunately we are unable to offer this product for sale.

                • @Sadie: Bummer missed out 😢
I guess just keep an eye out on the V2 and see if they drop the price again

                  • @Huntakillaz: "This was on Fire Sale (Stock clearance Sale from our local warehouse) and hence the price was less before.

However, the stock for the Fire Sale is over and this is the UK stock that has been allocated for your order.

                    Hence the price has increased.

Apologies for the inconvenience. I have cancelled this order then for you as requested below."

      • Thank you for the heads up - also contacting their CS team now

      • I got worried about this too but I just received my order confirmation for the Ender 3 Pro (not the V2) for 127.28 NZD.

Doesn't look like I've been charged yet, though.

I guess I'll just wait and see what happens next.

        • +2

Got charged NZD127.28 and got shipping confirmation from DHL. Looks like it's coming from the UK.

          Excited!

      • I just got a confirmation email with the price at $110. Haven't been charged yet though. Made sure I have undeer $200 in the account I paid with.

        • Mine has been shipped and I've been charged the correct price.

    • If you guys are going to pay Full price plz don't there are printers like the Sovol SV06+ that I have and you can get the Klipper screen for a similar price when they are on special. Auto bed leveling etc such a price printer I like mine haha :D

    • Really late to this one but I've ordered one and will post any updates about price/shipping.

    • Bugger missed out! Literally the one day I don’t check this thread…

      • +1

        Yep, always the way.

  • Also late to this. Been after a 3D printer for a while and the Ender 3 Pro look perfect.
On the site it says there are 17 available globally but the add button is nowhere to be seen.
Am I doing something wrong or is there another way to order?

    • +1

There's a massive "add to basket" blue button?
Edit: it was there when i just checked before posting this, seems its gone now.

Also just notice the CREALITY 3D ENDER-3 V2 price went up to $405.46 ($466.28 Inc. GST)
Glad mine got shipped at the lower price 😁

    • +1

The search and product pages have delays before updating. The Pros are sold out. Both V2 listings have increased their pricing though it only shows the price increase on one of them at the moment until you add it to your cart.

If you are able to get them at a discounted price then the V2 is a better machine to purchase than the Pro for the very small price difference.

    • I would avoid this clearance sale - I know that actual end-of-line stock often doesn't match on-line inventory, but it's been around a week since I ordered 14 items totalling just over $150, and I have been sent only a single $5 item and then received a no-explanation $70 refund. No response from their online enquiry form as to whether they intend to either send or refund the rest.

Wonder if it's a NZ issue. Nothing on the OzB post so far. Bummer though.

        • +1

I assume they expected the other items to be in different stores and I should hopefully get additional refunds/deliveries as the stock status is checked.

          • @tieke: Just received a couple more refunds, adding up to the correct total, so I'm not out any money in the end, although it's a bit disappointing that we only received one item out of fourteen. (And it was the most boring item on the list too :)

      • I also bought quite a few items on the 10th, but have just today recieved majority of them. Granted they came in about 5 separate packages! Hopefully last few items arrive no worries, as really good quality stuff like $130 Levis shorts for $30

        • Last few items cancelled and refunded. Ooooh well!

      • +2

I ordered 7 items and I've received three, all shipped from different stores.
