That's a lot of money to spend on something random and unknown.

    • i would be temped to buy one then sell what i don't want on trade me

I doubt any of these would be good if it comes from 1-day, bet its a lot of old Zuvio stuff they cant get rid of

I got this email too. I couldn't imagine why I would want to give them $20 or $50 for stuff I almost certainly don't need, and probably don't even want.

What kind of things do you get in these? It seems like they want to clear out crap and get paid for it, but am I being unfair?

Seems 100% fair assessment to me.

I fell for the recent mystery boxes they did, grabbed one of each and now I have 3 Zuvio phone cradles for the car, 1 pack of gold colored playing cards, 2 boxes of Nivea sunscreen and a dry bag from Beyond. On paper I saved money, the reality is I wasted money.

I guess we should all thank you for taking one (or two) for the team :-)

I reckon many people bought the last mystery box's for the "chance" of getting an iPhone… I was tempted, but luckily I refrained…

at least you didn't get compressed men's boxer shorts…. fathers day ….. 7 months away….. what a bloody waste of $. never again.

      • I got the last ones they done, 4 boxes of Nescafe coffee things and wireless charger which I sold, beyond dry bag and gold playing cards. Sooo glad I was able to sell some things was hoping for something useless that we would be able to use, years ago when I done the bag of crap I got pretty alright stuff so def a hit and miss. I would have been happy with the sunscreen ha

Yea, it's just a load of crap in a box.

Only buy if you love the Zuvio brand. Well that's my experience with mystery boxes from 1-day anyway.

If you wanna buy 2x $50 packs, use the referral bonus. Comes down to $80 from $100

      Still an expensive phone holder.

      • +2

The gamblers are gonna gamble, even if it’s for the chance to win an expensive phone holder

Last time I’d received a zuvio phone cradle and a cheap chocolate

Anyone seen the video JayzTwoCents did on something similar?

Isn't this a bit like gambling? Should be banned and made illegal.

    • +2

      Lol.

      • Actually probably correct. Loot boxes in games are considered gambling by many, and at least problematic by most others because they share many traits. .

        https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loot_box

Not necessarily "just a bit of fun."

  • Probably cheaper if you buy those items when they are on sale, chances are most of they are either junk or something useless…haha

  • +1

That's crazy to think people will drop that sort of money hoping to get something good. They must love the ability to offload a bunch of stuff they can't normally sell.

  • +1

Don't do this kids. Unless you already have investment houses in Auckland, don't waste money on uncertainties.

  • +1

Wow lighten up guys, it's just a bit of fun.

    • Fun for TheMarket?

Well, I guess they are probably laughing, but what might they be laughing about?

  • Surprisingly (or maybe not), just the $20 lucky dip remaining now.
