Are these toothbrushes any good? How do they compare with the $40 versions? The price is pretty steep.
Would love to hear any personal experiences.
Not worth paying the premium for some smart features that you won't necessarily use. I think it's just a gimmick. The cheaper $40 ones don't have the power to get a decent clean. The one to go for is the pro 2000, it has the power of the more expensive models but without the fancy gimmicks.
I agree, Pro 2000 is the one to get. It's the cheapest model that has a lithium battery, which gives it way more power and battery life than the cheaper NiMH ones.
$100 from Chemist Warehouse (normal price).
Thanks I'll watch out for sales of that model. :)
Remember can 10% price beat at Briscoes… ~$80-$90

I have a Oral B 9000.
Super stoked with my purchase, although I would probably be just as happy with the Oral b 2000 as mentioned above.
I don’t use any of the features. The only useful ones in my opinion are the different speed modes and the pressure warning (if you’re brushing too hard)
I think the Oral B 2000 has that already.
But would recommend upgrading from the $30 ones if you’re tossing it up. I noticed a better overall clean.
The 2000 has the warning pressure light. Got it for around $70 from Amazon.
You can get the 9000 new on Trade Me for $150 free pickup in ChCh, I would have grabbed it but I just bought an Oral-B Smart 5 5500 from ShaverShop for $119
I just use $1 one from countdown, does the job
Similar price at Chemmy for non-Star Wars versions.

Could pricebeat the black version at Briscoes to bring it down to $171ish
