There are shavers that are worth $250. Braun does not make any of them.
I got this for $199 from Chemist Warehouse at the end of November last year.
It's …alright?These things will never get everything unless you spend 10 minutes going over each spot 20 times. I usually just clean up with my trimmer and then use this for a couple of minutes to try to get as much else as I can.
I spent $89 on a Panasonic one when it was 50% off during Xmas season sale and am very happy with that. Always wondered if a $200 shaver will make any difference. Its like buying that Oral B 2000 electric toothbrush for around 70 bucks. It makes no difference performance wise compared to a $150 Oral B model.

I bought an older model refurbished Braun Series 7 off Trademe. One of my best purchases. Battery goes on for weeks, built in trimmer, no costs on razors etc. I get bad skin burn on most electrics. Nothing with the Braun. Ps I have zero Braun association - I just love that machine.
🪒 Side conversation but I swapped to a double edged safety razor this year.
Box of blades was around $25 delivered for 100 and I get about 3 shaves off each blade.
Took a while to get used to it but it’s a same or better shave than the disposables I was using prior.
Shaver body is around the $40-$60. I shave with standard foam in the shower and use normal Nivea post shave balm afterwards. - so basically same set up as I had before and haven’t bothered with the hipster wankfactor of brushes etc.
Just throwing it out there is anyone is looking to save money (over likes of Mach 3 etc especially) and reduce their plastic waste foot print.

I've been using a safety razor for several years now, still on the original box of feather blades i bulk ordered I have saved so much over the old days of buying Mach3 or Shick disposable blades.

Braun quality is so utterly atrocious. Looks decent on the outside but if you open it up it's utterly budget as it gets. My last one got replaced 3 times in a year by shaver shop before I demanded a refund. Never again braun.

Absolute hate on braun here …to counterbalance, my 10 year old series 7 is still going strong and is the best shaver I have owned. Almost perfect. The side attachment trimmer broke after a few years, but I don't use that. Parts are cheap, replaced the head several times.
Read the reviews on amazon. They match my experience.
This promotion looks to be for a newer model though, I can't say if it is good or not.
