There's a weird anomaly with LATAM flying their Dreamliner between Australia and Chile - they do a stopover in Auckland. Naturally the SYD<->AK leg isn't always full, and as a result they're currently offering a great business class fare.

For comparison, I'm seeing Jetstar economy from ~$550 return, not including bags, and AirNZ/Emirates return business from high $1300s and $1600s respectively.

    Love finds like this. Emirates used to do a similar with the A380 at the start of their leg to Dubai.

      thanks, fixed link. I actually took that A380 Emirates 1st class flight 3 years ago - using a small amount of cash and Qantas Points! I believe you could sometimes get it one way out right for $800ish.

      Can confirm, the only 2 times I've ever been on the Emirates A380 Christchurch to Sydney I got upgraded to business class at no extra charge (helps to arrive at the airport early for check in). No idea if they still do it, this would've been 4-5 years ago…
