The second photo has a noel leeming sku on it on the electuscomputers website ?

    • Best guess they bought when they were on supplier special. It's below cost for most retailers

      • That's an instore sku from well over a year ago (iirc thats a 2020 label) so it's possible… but I dont think there's a single channel that would be that cheap. Guess we just wait and see if anyone is successful ordering.

  • I’ve tried to get Noel leeming to price match AirPods before with other places and they would not back down..

Claimed they called them and they are out of stock, parallel imports, online only, not authorised sellers etc

  • Best to do is sent the link to CS online to ask them to do the price match. Got myself a pair from NL today with pick up in store.

P.s. tried with T7 and was issued a discount code, but chose NL as the store was closer

    • Is there a chance I could have the discount code from T7 if you aren't using it :D?

I'd like to just add an advisory to be careful for a LOT of fake Airpods Pro in the market at the moment. There may be chances that they may not be real afterall as not sure who this seller is? For example as a proof, just go to FB Marketplace and search for Airpods Pro and you will see 10s of them for $200 unopened. They look and feel very legit but they are fake. If this link can be used to PM with other reputed stores then its great!
My friend recently got tricked by one of the marketplace thugs, where the box was sealed, checked the serial number on the box and on the case - it matched from the apple website, they show up as real airpods when connecting to iPhone, the only thing that gave it away was the bad sound quality and lack of noise cancellation on the fake ones. If you open the box, you will also notice the box doesn't have the snuggle fit as other Apple products. It's just annoying that how commonly they are being sold and so many people are still being tricked everyday and some will never notice.

Thanks OP, manage to price match at NL, ordered

Thanks OP. Got it for $319 at T7.

  • Thanks OP, my partner got them price matched at Noel Leeming today. No lie, from the time she made the purchase online, 3 minutes later she received an email saying they were ready to be picked up, speedy service.

  • Cheers OP, ordered from Noel Leeming, collecting in an hour. Thought a lot before ordering given the new Airpods Pro 2 is around the corner. Just reading through the leaks, the form factor won't be any different in the new one with a few minor new features. Also Airpods Pro 2 will replace current Airpods Pro i.e the new one will have the same price of $450 - would take a long time for Airpods Pro 2 to come down to $330 deal. Worth going for this now if anyone's wondering and holding off.

  • I almost bought the Airpods Pro last month, but after reading all the reviews I went for the Beats Fit Pro instead (released this year, similar price to these on special)

Just priced matched using Noel Leeming’s online chat with no issues. The sales rep prompted me with two options, an online code which is valid for an hour, or head down to the local and quote the transcript.

    Cheers OP!

Price Match via NL was denied - reason being the model numbers (of the posted deal and NL) are different.

    sadness :(

update - got it via t7 and got an extra $10 off with a new account + free shipping too

  • Massive WARNING to those who wish to use Airpods or Powerbeats Pro range - IIRC Apple uses some dodgy chemical to help make it "sweat resistant", this chemical ironically when mixed with sweat can cause caustic burns. You will see a lot of people complaining about the issue on the Apple forums, Apple have remained decidedly quiet about the whole thing, with no official acknowledement and the issue has been around for quite a few years. This also seemed to affect their silicone watch straps as well.

I personally experienced the same thing with my Powerbeats Pro, it's worth noting I have no history of skin issues, it caused dry flakey skin around my ears, it seemed to happen after a few months of use, I initially had no idea it was the headset and I ended up treating it as some type of ear infection, then i'd stop using them and eventually go back to using them again only for the problem to return and eventually I figured out the headset was the issue and got fully refunded by Apple (after they pretended they had never heard about the issue despite the infinite amount complaints on their own forums).

IMO, you should stay away from these headsets - I can't remember the chemical name they used (i'll have a dig and post it when i find it), it was later found to be the culprit - unsure if they use it in the 2022 versions (but given they kept using it for years despite complaints i'd say they probably are). Needless to say, Apple are scum.
