HP OfficeJet 8010E $27.10 (after 10% off Coupon & HP $80 Cashback with Instant Ink Signup) @ Warehouse Stationery

130
WELCOME10

I was looking at printers and came across this. I haven't done it so can't guarantee it works.

This printer is $119 at warehouse stationary.

10% off coupon would bring it down to $107.10

Cashback would bring it down to $67.10

If you sign up to HP instant ink then you can double your cashback. Costs $2. I think some cheapies have referral codes from what I've seen on previous posts, but it also looks like you can try 2 months for free. https://www.hp.com/nz-en/printers/instant-ink.html
https://h41201.www4.hp.com/WMCF.Web/nz/en/promotion/6427/Sta…

With doubled cashback that would put it down to $27.10 or $29.10 if you paid $2 to sign up to instant ink.

    So

    1) buy printer (guest/new account to use code)
    2) sign up to instant ink 2 month trial
    3) Apply for cash back
    4) Profit???

    • Oops yeah. I missed off having to create a new account to be able to use the 10% code.

      • hi, how did you get 10% by sign up? did sign up , but can't see any 10% off, is there a code to be sent to me ? any down time. cheers

  • and I just bought a $100 printer yesterday…

    • Return if this is better?

  • Says $40 cash back on that site?

    • +1

Same as per the post - you don't have to sign up for the other $40 if you don't want to bother.

  • Ha, about 4 years back the warehouse had a discount on a fairly highend HP printer … after the discount and cashback, the printer cost -$1.00…. i.e, I was paid $1.00 to take the printer off the warehouse's hands. I wanted to buy more and sell on trademe, but it was difficult to know if the cashback would be honoured.

Remember you can get this delivered free too.

Orders over $46 are eligible for free delivery so make sure you choose delivery rather than click & collect.

Wonder if they would accept cashback applications for items purchased through The Market. Use a $20 referral code to make it $99 before cashback.

It worked for me! $19 after referral code and $80 cashback :) When making the claim I still put Warehouse Stationary as the place it was purchased from.

  • I got the last one by the looks (:

  • Back in stock.
Two hours ago I bought mine.

  • If it does come back in stock, WS are also doing a $5 off every $50 spent on items up to $2000 deal.

  • This entire thing is such a sham. I have deleted a few things because I wanted to see where the outcome would go but goodness me I want to rip my hair out. HP refuse to honour my cash back (purchased under the terms and conditions and promotional period) followed all instructions.. First HP refused to accept the email invoice from warehouse stationery because apparently the invoice they sent is not correct and not valid, went to WHS and they said that the email we get sent is valid and a tax invoice despite just being an email and now HP refuse to honour it at all. I am ripping my hair out.

Has anyone else had issues with HP? I am seriously considering taking this further. This is insanity.

    • Going on what you have said, I would definitely consider taking it to the Disputes Tribunal.

There's a reasonable chance that HP won't even turn up, and if they do, from your post, it sounds like you think you would win.

There is a filing fee - can't recall how much (<$100), so you'd have to consider that in determining if it is worth it, along with your assessment of whether you would win.

Yep it is a principal thing for sure - also I did choose to purchase sooner rather than later because of the cash back because it fit within my budget for buying at the time.

Their reasons for not accepting have now changed twice.. First time it was that the email that WHS provides as a 'tax invoice' was not an invoice but rather an order summary so cannot be accepted.. They tried to say that email didn't have the product, price etc.. Which it did and WHS confirmed that it is a valid tax invoice and proof of purchase and that is all that is provided for online orders and that HP need to honour it.. They have then come back and said that I am not the correct customer and one can only assume this is because my email signature is my shortened nickname that I prefer everyone calls me by (surname matches though) because everything was submitted as per the instructions - proof of purchase, proof of instant ink subscription etc. They have said that they can cancel this claim so the correct customer and apply.. Which is me. I do not hold very high expectations of this being successful and have found this rather stressful.

        I will keep everyone updated.

        • In general it is important to clearly identify who you are, and if you are not claiming for yourself, then be clear on behalf of what other party you are claiming, and what your position / authority is.

If claiming in your own right, I would always use your correct legal name (whatever is shown in your passport and / or driver's license for example) - unfortunately, many people try to scam using similar, but different names (or go by names other than their legal name), and you might be caught up in a process which is trying to catch dodgy behaviour, even though you are an innocent victim of such a process.

Also, bear in mind that when you purchase something, the vendor is under no obligation to ensure that you are who you say you are (unless they want to, and perhaps with some specific exceptions relating to regulated products / services) - they will simply put whatever name you advise on the invoice (if they put any name on there at all). If they do make a mistake in that regard, you can ask them to amend it though. I would always do that for something that was fairly expensive or important to me.

          HTH,

          Alan.

          • @Alan6984: As mentioned above, claimed in my legal name. I am guessing they made assumptions based on my shortened name on my email signature.

            • @JJNZ: Could be - it was really a more general comment. Many vendors are very particular about this, as it seems to have become more and more common for people to use names other than their legal name for some reason.
