Instant Pot Duo Gourmet 5.7l $139 @ Costco (in-Store Only, Membership Required)

240

This is a Costco-exclusive model that looks to be a bit similar to the Duo Nova featured in the AU Amazon Prime Day deal from a while back ($148.99). This model loses the nice controls and LED display of the Nova, but gains a sous vide function in return. The rest of the functionality seems to be intact.

The Instant Pot® Duo Gourmet™ is a powerhouse multi-cooker that does it all, fast! Easy to use, easy to clean, versatile and convenient, the Costco-exclusive Instant Pot® Duo Gourmet™ replaces 9 kitchen appliances: electric pressure cooker, slow cooker, sous vide, rice cooker, steriliser, sauté pan, food warmer, porridge and yogurt maker. It’s stainless steel 5.7 litre inner pot is perfect for meal prepping or cooking delicious meals for up to six people.

Does anyone know when its a good time to go there?, i dont want to wait in a long queue.

    • Give it another week for the hype to die down. I guess the quietest time would be mornings on Mondays & Tuesdays.

Drive inside and park at the upper (or top) floor parking garage. That way if you do have to queue at least you'll stay dry if it's raining.

    • Maybe a weekday once the school holidays are over.

I'll only be able to go during a weekend so I think I'm pretty screwed. I'll wait until the holidays are over, but given that we're in the lead-up to Christmas and a lot of people are going to be making return visits, I'm not too confident of it calming down too much.

Are we going to be posting Costco deals every week even though it is members only and limited to Auckland only? Don't mind either way.

    • +5

I think if it's a genuine special, why not? I appreciate it even though I don't have a Costco membership yet and live over 40 mins away, but will probably make the effort once the hype dies down.

If the price is right, I think it should be shared. I imagine there are quite a few Aucklanders on here.

I think it should be shared. Aren't we having deals for specific locations or in-store specials? Costco should be treated the same way.

People even have started pm with mitre10.

The great thing about the Instant Pot is that it's stainless steel. None of that non stick stuff

    • +1

Yup. Been using it since the last deal and very happy with it. Just pop the stainless steel pot in dishwasher and all cleaning done. Highly recommend it.

    • Same, used mine twice this weekend, once making chili and once for a chicken Alfredo. A genuine “one pot” cooking option, would definitely recommend.

      • Any recipes you can share?? Just got one myself.

  • Koala Queen mattress for $800 is a good deal - good to see Koala back in the NZ market via Costco.
