Thanks OP - have been waiting for this.

    That's awesome!

Not sure it's needed. Their 7.9% success fee is more than reasonable..

You forgot to tick the "associated with TradeMe" box.

Ppl downvoting my comment lol.. sarcasm is lost on some I guess.

    • So true. If reasonable is 1%, then their success fee is about 6.9% more than reasonable.

    Thanks OP

This rolls around enough now that you kind of just wait for it to come up. Must be getting hammered by some other platform. FB marketplace?

    • Yes but i didnt wait and listed a car start of the week. $110 :-(

      • This happened to me last time. I pushed really hard and got my $149 back. It was not easy btw.

Also been waiting, 25% off very recently was tempting. But not enough that I couldn't hold out for a 100% discount. Great time to clear out the junk.

  • Does anyone know if the 0% rate transfers on to auctions that do not sell and needs to get relisted?

    • it won't but you can pay to extend your listing to 14 days or whatever the max is to boost the oods of it selling

    • Yes, relisted auctions will get the 100% off if it is relisted on the day, but does not stay with the lifetime of the auction, only valid until the auction is finished. Further relists will no longer have the 100% off.

  • I've got 8 items already up for sale, how do I take advantage of this? Also, does it apply to successful auctions? Thinking about just auctioning everything off and clearing it out next week

It applies to auctions listed on Sat that sell during their run time. It's only for success fees when an item sells, not listing fees(charges for images/promotion etc)

You could withdraw existing ones if it's free to do so or edit them and put the buynow prices so high no one will buy them, then put additional listings up tomorrow.

      • Withdrawing existing auction cost $3 per

    • +2

I'd just edit the auctions so that the number of days the listing is for, is reduced. I've done it many times in the past, set it to say 3 days, which actually means it closes yesterday. Finish editing auction and it finishes instantly. Then just list them on Saturday at a time you want them to finish next Saturday. I tend to have mine finish after tea so people aren't busy.

    • +5

Edit your auctions to end tomorrow at like 2-4am
Auto relist and then adjust the end date and time to your choosing later in the day
(Usually extend them to like 8-10days ending at 8pm)

Btw use myproducts (free to use) to list where possible as it allows generally free editing to specified time rather than paying 25c

      • This is more helpful than the OP, cheers!

      • Do I only get success fee's back for Buy Now/Offer sales? Or I can set a starting price/reserve and if it sells I still dont have to pay fees?

        • +1

If you're using my products, create your listings but don't activate them till tomorrow.

Success fees will be charged and then refunded on bids/buy nows for sure (had it happen ) and i assume offers too, during the promotion periods
This is what show son your account when you get refunded:

18 Jun 2022 Success Fee Promotion Refund of Auction Success Fee (auction no. , 100%)
          PXXXXXXXXXX $10.67 $1.86
18 Jun 2022 Auction Success Fee (auction no. )
          PXXXXXXXXXX $10.67 $-8.81

      • So I've just loaded a handful of things through My Products, set them all to finish later in the evening later this week, and activated them all, but they haven't listed. They're showing as active, and when I hover over the status the mouse-over text says it will be listed as soon as possible. Would you know if there's usually a delay, or if perhaps it doesn't list until the specified finish time?

EDIT: Never mind, I just needed to be a little patient, they all listed after a few minutes. Thanks for the suggestion!

        • Yeah there's a delay usual a few mins, but to upto 15mins in case of FPO cancel and relist as it seems like the queue and iterate through them or something.

But yeah it so much better to manage you listing this way

  • will they allow me to list any items if my account is in credit? I haven't topped up my account since the last success fees.

    • +1

You are able to list if the account balance is not negative

  • Cheers! Time for a good clean out…
